Abortion activists in the UK are calling for laws to prohibit abortion protesters<\/a> from being too close to clinics.\u00a0 But one woman, who herself was headed to abort her daughter, is praising pro-life activists and crediting them with saving her daughter\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

In an interview with BBC<\/a>, Suzan Briggs, a 27 year old mother of four, said she is thankful that the pro-life group Abort67<\/a> was there when she headed to the abortion clinic while pregnant with her fourth child. Fearing that she couldn\u2019t handle having another child, Briggs decided that abortion was the only choice so she scheduled the appointment. She told BBC:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

When I got there they gave me information about abortions, but there were campaigners waiting outside the door. They had some leaflets about abortions and they started talking to me. They had pictures of a foetus at eight weeks and they had pictures of aborted babies.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Briggs was scared and told the group of pro-life activists that she simply didn\u2019t need this baby. However, the strong faith of the protesters was evident and made an impact on Briggs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey told me God would help me and give me strength,\u201d she told BBC, \u201cThey took me to a coffee shop, they bought me tea and I said I would go home and try to think about it. I tried not to listen to them, but they were praying for me and I was crying and shaking. The way they talked to me gave me faith and their encouragement made me decide to keep the baby. I promised them I\u2019d go to the doctor in a few days. They promised to come with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"pregnant-woman-baby-born-licensed\"The group followed through on that promise and went above and beyond that as well. They kept in touch with Briggs and continued to check on her throughout her pregnancy, even giving her clothes for the baby. They offered her encouragement and prayers.<\/p>\n

Briggs thanks God that she didn\u2019t abort her daughter, saying that at just eight weeks there are already legs, a head, and a face. She says that her daughter, named Miracle, has given her joy and peace.\u00a0 And she thinks that the pro-life activists\u00a0should always be allowed to protest abortion until it is finally banned.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t pressure you outside the clinics if you don\u2019t want to listen,\u201d she explained to BBC, \u201cThey\u2019re just giving their opinion. They should be allowed to do it because some people will change their minds. If I didn\u2019t listen to them, I would have regretted it all my life.
