This morning, pro-life advocates led by Live Action held a press\u00a0event raising awareness of Planned Parenthood’s dangerous influence in American culture. Live Action was joined by leaders from major pro-life organizations, who\u00a0noted that the abortion giant’s power in the US\u00a0is made possible by tax funding opposed by many Americans.<\/p>\n

Missy Martinez of Students for Life of America was clear about the goal: “Defund Planned Parenthood, and stop this corrupt organization from preying on our women.”<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As Americans lean\u00a0more pro-life than ever<\/a>, presidential leadership is increasingly distanced from public opinion, taking every opportunity to pad Planned Parenthood’s coffers.<\/p>\n

Mary Drury of Americans United for Life pointed to a\u00a0recent report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO)<\/a> exposing previously hidden tax funding of the abortion giant through insurance exchanges of the Affordable Care Act — including those exchanges in states where such funding was explicitly prohibited.\u00a0She noted that the, “GAO report proves that insurance companies are skirting the promises Democrats made on abortion.”<\/p>\n

Live Action President Lila Rose noted that “abortion sows violence in the most intimate relationship,” and that “Planned Parenthood receives over $500,000,000 in taxpayer money annually.”<\/p>\n

Others speaking at the event were\u00a0Ryan Bomberger of The Radiance Foundation, Joshua Duggar of the Family Research Council, \u00a0Jill Stanek, and Alison Howard of Concerned Women of America.<\/p>\n

The event was held\u00a0at the 16th Street Planned Parenthood in DC, which is one of the busiest Planned Parenthood abortion mills in the country.<\/p>\n

The event also exposed Planned Parenthood’s insidious role in American education. Live Action’s latest undercover project<\/a>, for example, reveals the corporation’s consistent promotion of\u00a0dangerous\u00a0<\/em>sexual practices among young teenage girls.<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood also played a role<\/a> in having the longstanding career of a respected public school teacher terminated after he demonstrated opposition to Planned Parenthood’s blatant invasion of his high school math classroom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
