In her fascinating book, Abandoned: The Untold Story of the Abortion Wars<\/em>, Monica Migliorino Miller gives a riveting account of the discovery and burial of the remains of aborted babies, and of her participation in the rescue movement in the 1980s and early 1990s.<\/p>\n

Miller stood trial for blocking abortion clinics on several occasions and, at one point, was sentenced to nine months in jail. While in prison, she encountered a former clinic worker who had been incarcerated for crimes not related to abortion.<\/p>\n

Miller recounts the conversation between them:<\/p>\n

I asked her how she felt about working there and she said, \u201cIt was the woman\u2019s decision.\u201d I said \u201cyour job involved you in taking innocent life.\u201d But she kept saying \u201cI didn\u2019t do anything, It was the woman\u2019s decision.\u201d She admitted that she did assist Tarver [the abortionist] in the abortions. I tried over and over again to help her realize her involvement with the process of killing. I asked her \u201cdo you think the unborn are human?\u201d And she agreed! She said, \u201cYes they are. They have a heart, a brain, and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

I asked her \u201cWhat if a woman were stabbing her born child \u2013 would you help her do that?\u201d She said: \u201cNo\u201d I asked her \u201cWould it be okay for me to stab you just because it was \u201cmy decision?\u201d She said: \u201cThat would be your decision and it would be my decision to live or die. People got to die anyway.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/p>\n

It\u2019s disturbing that this clinic worker readily admits that the preborn are human. It is often shocking to pro-lifers that many abortionists and clinic workers are honest about what they do, and come right out and admit that abortion is killing.<\/a> \u00a0Some former clinic workers may claim that they didn\u2019t know, or at least didn\u2019t believe, that they were taking innocent life. But this clinic worker clearly knows what she was doing.<\/p>\n

Her second statement is difficult to understand. Perhaps she felt she was backed into a corner, having just admitted that a woman has the right to choose to kill her preborn baby. Logically, she was forced to admit that it would also be a \u201cchoice\u201d to stab someone. Her flippant statement that \u201cpeople got to die anyway\u201d is shocking in its nihilism. So because people are going to die anyway, it\u2019s okay to kill them? Her response reveals a lack of regard for life that is appalling.<\/p>\n
