{"id":52266,"date":"2014-07-29T07:56:03","date_gmt":"2014-07-29T11:56:03","guid":{"rendered":"\/news\/?p=52266"},"modified":"2014-07-31T22:00:17","modified_gmt":"2014-08-01T02:00:17","slug":"colorado-attorney-general-to-investigate-planned-parenthood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/colorado-attorney-general-to-investigate-planned-parenthood\/","title":{"rendered":"Colorado Attorney General takes notice of Live Action investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\">\n<p>Following\u00a0troubling allegations against\u00a0Planned Parenthood for\u00a0failing to report child sexual abuse and violating\u00a0laws protecting minors,\u00a0 Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced that attorneys will review Live Action&#8217;s investigative video\u00a0into the Planned Parenthood clinic at the center of the controversy.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\">Suthers told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncregister.com\/daily-news\/planned-parenthood-faces-new-allegations-involving-abuse-of-minors\/\">The National Catholic Register<\/a> that attorneys will review a Live Action\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/plannedparenthoodexposed.com\/sexed\/\"><em>SEXED<\/em> expose<\/a>\u00a0showing a staffer\u00a0at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains coaching a girl, who told the staffer she was 15,\u00a0to visit neighborhood\u00a0sex shops, secretly view\u00a0pornography and experiment with BDSM.<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\"><em>SEXED, <\/em>Episode 2, catches a Planned Parenthood worker encouraging\u00a0various violent sexual practices, including whipping, bondage, sadomasochism and asphyxiation. The episode, among others in Live Action&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/plannedparenthoodexposed.com\/sexed\/\"><em>SEXED<\/em> investigation<\/a>, details how the abortion giant promotes the normalcy of sexual abuse, pornography and BDSM among teenagers.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\">Suthers&#8217; announcement comes in the wake of litigation filed in July against Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains\u00a0for failing to report the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\">The\u00a0lawsuit was\u00a0filed by the mother of Colorado teenager, R.Z., who was sexually abused by her stepfather for years. The lawsuit reveals that when R.Z. became pregnant, her stepfather, Timothy\u00a0David Smith, forced her to schedule a secret abortion and brought her to Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. After the abortion procedure, staffers\u00a0sent R.Z.\u00a0back\u00a0to her stepfather, no questions asked. Colorado\u00a0law requires that\u00a0suspected child abuse be reported to authorities.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\">The lawsuit alleges\u00a0how Smith continued to sexually abuse R.Z. until she had the courage to reveal the abuse to her mother, who immediately contacted authorities. Smith\u00a0was arrested and charged with multiple counts of felony sex abuse. He plead guilty to two counts in 2012.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Lila Rose, president of <a href=\"http:\/\/liveaction.org\/\">Live Action<\/a>, condemned Planned Parenthood&#8217;s egregious actions. Rose told\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2014\/07\/28\/attorney-general-to-investigate-planned-parenthood-teaching-teen-girl-sm-sex-gagging-and-whipping\/\">LifeNews<\/a>\u00a0that the abortion giant continues to\u00a0cover-up\u00a0abuse, neglect the law\u00a0and promote dangerous counseling practices to teens.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe are relieved to learn that\u00a0authorities in Colorado are taking these tapes, and their shocking and extremely troubling contents, seriously,&#8221; Rose said.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Rose urges other states, where Planned Parenthood&#8217;s\u00a0destructive ideology permeates, to follow suit.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Parents of every political persuasion can come together and condemn an institutional ethos where sexual abuse of teens is portrayed as consensual sexual activity \u2013 where tax-funded counselors can recommend internet pornography and sex shops, and advise children on how to hide these things from their parents.\u00a0 We encourage every state to follow Colorado\u2019s example and investigate Planned Parenthood facilities in their jurisdictions.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"color: #444444\">Planned Parenthood, which bolsters\u00a0a pro-abortion agenda\u00a0and controversial practices\u00a0to young people, fills its coffers with\u00a0half a billion dollars annually through tax dollars.
