If it wasn’t so serious, it would be hilarious. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi have both made entirely incorrect statements about the Hobby Lobby decision.<\/p>\n

And their statements weren’t just a matter of opinion. They got the facts wrong – blatantly, obviously wrong. So wrong, in fact, that you wonder if they even read the decision at all.<\/p>\n

(The only good thing coming out of their statements is that I’m now inspired to offer Reid and Pelosi a trade.)<\/p>\n

Harry Reid, on Roll Call, claimed<\/a> that “five white men” decided the Hobby Lobby decision:<\/p>\n

The one thing we are going to do during this work period, sooner rather than later, is to ensure that women’s lives are not determined by virtue of five white men.<\/p>\n
