Even before you took your first breath, I loved you.<\/p>\n

Because before that moment, I knew you were mine. Not just “potential life,” you were already a living miracle, just waiting for the right time to meet the world.<\/p>\n

A living, precious child – and I wanted to keep you safe. As safe as I could.<\/p>\n

\"7-weeks-human-fetus\"<\/p>\n

I knew there would be moments I would want to soothe your hurts and comfort all your pain.<\/p>\n

I knew there would be pain I couldn’t save you from.<\/p>\n

I also knew you would experience great accomplishments, and that I would be proud, even of the small ones.<\/p>\n

Sometimes, my heart would hurt when you tried and failed. I knew I would cheer for you, even when others laughed at you. But I knew, too, that it might not always be enough.<\/p>\n

But I knew that no matter what happened to you, you would see new life in this world – that, together, we would bring new life to this world.<\/p>\n

I saw the memorable moments I hoped for your future.<\/p>\n

…one day, that would all change. I would miss the child you were, but be so very proud of the adult you would become.<\/p>\n

And so, my precious little one, I choose life. For you, and for the little ones yet to come. So that, one day, we can all celebrate together about the choices we made for life. So that we can all make it to that party.<\/p>\n

I choose life because you are worth it. Because these moments can only come if this moment<\/em> continues.<\/p>\n

I choose life because it has already been chosen for you. Who am I to step in the way? Who am I to stop the destiny you were created for?<\/p>\n

I choose life for you, my child, because by saving your life, I save the world. The world, after all, is made up of so many, tiny, little yous.<\/p>\n
