It purports to be unbiased, but it sugar coats much of the abortion procedure. It also tries to prevent women from getting the pro-life message. The book says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Some antiabortion (or \u201cpro-life\u201d) groups publish books and websites to influence women\u2019s decisions, claiming to offer information \u2026There are also groups describing themselves as \u201ccounseling services,\u201d which aim to prevent women from choosing abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Groups opposed to abortion may try to influence a woman\u2019s decision using:<\/p>\n<p>Illustrations of fetuses or abortions taking place \u2013 an impartial group will never show you images unless you ask.\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Fetal images of late pregnancy, suggesting this is what early pregnancy looks like.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In fact, most abortion clinics will not show images at all \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/clinicquotes.com\/former-planned-parenthood-worker-describes-counseling-at-her-clinic\/\" target=\"_blank\">even if the woman asks to see them. <\/a>\u00a0They often <a href=\"http:\/\/clinicquotes.com\/former-abortionist-women-werent-allowed-to-look-at-the-ultrasound-screen\/\" target=\"_blank\">refuse to show her the ultrasound images of her baby<\/a>. \u00a0 They have also been known to <a href=\"\/news\/former-abortion-clinic-worker-sometimes-we-lied\/#more-46107\" target=\"_blank\">lie about the development of the baby.<\/a> \u00a0In fact, you can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/rosaacuna\/\" target=\"_blank\">see abortion clinic workers\u2019 deceit in action on Live Action\u2019s undercover videos here.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Shouldn&#8217;t a woman have all the relevant information about her pregnancy before she decides to have an abortion? Is it better for her to learn\u00a0about the development of her\u00a0unborn baby <em>after<\/em> her abortion rather than before?<\/p>\n<p>There have been many stories of women who had an abortion thinking the unborn baby was only a collection of cells, who then later found out the truth and suffered shock, guilt, and horror about what they agreed to. <a href=\"http:\/\/clinicquotes.com\/psychologist-i-have-seen-hundreds-of-patients-lied-to-by-their-abortion-counselors\/\" target=\"_blank\">One psychologist who was worked with many postabortion women said:\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I have seen hundreds of patients in my office who have had abortions and were just lied to by the abortion counselor. Namely \u2018This is less painful than having a tooth removed. It is not a baby.\u2019 Afterwards, the woman sees Life Magazine and breaks down and goes into a major depression.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Also, pro-lifers don\u2019t have to lie about the development of the unborn baby. The baby is remarkably developed very early in pregnancy. Here you can see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehd.org\/movies.php?mov_id=42\" target=\"_blank\">a video of baby at a little over seven weeks<\/a> moving around in the womb. You can clearly see little hands and feet complete with fingers and toes. You can see<a href=\"http:\/\/clinicquotes.com\/abortion-at-seven-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\"> what a baby this age looks like after an abortion here <\/a>(warning: graphic)<\/p>\n<p>So this book, this guide for women, does not give any of this information to women seeking abortion, and in fact discourages them from finding it on their own. Instead, this is what the author\u00a0feels a woman should know:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Vacuum aspiration (or suction termination) is usually used from 7 to 15 weeks of pregnancy, and involves using gentle suction to remove the foetus from the womb.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And of a late-term abortion:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Surgical dilation and evacuation (D&amp;E) is carried out under general anesthetic and may be used between 15 and 24 weeks of pregnancy. The cervix is gently stretched and dilated (opened) so that suction \u201cand sometimes forceps, depending on the stage of pregnancy) can be used to remove the foetus.<\/p>\n<p>The procedure usually takes between 10 \u2013 20 minutes. If you\u2019re healthy and there are no complications, you should be able to go home the same day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ah yes, \u201cgentle\u201d abortion, which pulls the baby\u2019s arms and legs from her body with a powerful suction machine if it doesn\u2019t dismember the child manually with forceps.<\/p>\n<p>This is the kind of information that is out there aimed at women considering abortion. Is it any surprise that so many women go into their abortions having no idea how brutal they are for their unborn babies?<\/p>\n<p>Pro-lifers must keep telling the truth about abortion, both to abortion minded women and to the public.
