Could part of the reason she did not venture to say anything be that unwanted, coerced abortion, though not as overtly sponsored, is becoming an increasing threat in <a href=\"\/news\/the-reality-of-forced-abortion-in-america\/\">this country<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48219 alignright\" style=\"margin-left: 15px; margin-right: 15px;\" alt=\"CHINA_ABORTION\" src=\"\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/CHINA_ABORTION.png\" width=\"204\" height=\"165\" \/>Social mores change. Shotgun weddings have recently been declared a thing of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/shotgun-weddings-fade-as-cohabitation-gains-favor\/\">past<\/a>, yet like a force-sucking vacuum, that void was filled by what amounts to shotgun abortions.\u00a0Cultural expectations have morphed sufficiently so that fertility is now conventionally viewed as life-leaching. Rivaling the dictate to wed, this new dictate to abort employs subtle and not-so-discreet force.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thelawdictionary.org\/coercion\/\">Coercion<\/a>\u00a0is used in legal terminology and in this case denotes abortions committed under duress, abortions done with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adelmangerman.com\/blog\/2013\/06\/alleged-lack-of-informed-consent-leads-to-lawsuit.shtml\">lack of informed consent<\/a>, or those compelled by someone holding a position of authority or power. There are dozens of such <a href=\"http:\/\/pop.org\/content\/forced-abortions-in-america-case-before-1643\">cases<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Don\u2019t throw your life away&#8221;: teens most vulnerable to abortion steering<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Teens are the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/mtv-star-regrets-her-abortion-39i-feel-like-i-made-a-mistake-and-i-cant-tak\">least likely<\/a> to be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nrlc.org\/uploads\/factsheets\/FS12TeensandAbortion.pdf\">informed<\/a> and the most impressionable, believing the success-requires-abortion mantra of those claiming superior wisdom from being older or in positions of authority. Conventional wisdom has it that teens will suffer inordinately unless they get an abortion. For them, there\u2019s very little choice involved; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stopforcedabortions.org\/docs\/ForcedAbortions.pdf\">64%<\/a> of abortions occurring in this country are unwanted.<\/p>\n<p>This is especially striking since women under 30 account for the vast majority of abortions. Teens make up 18% of all abortions, while women in their 20s fill in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/pubs\/fb_induced_abortion.html\">58%<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The examples of abortion steering fill headlines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6B9MbkAnqZ0\">Doctors<\/a> who <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alliancedefendingfreedom.org\/News\/PRDetail\/8246 http:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/abortionist-forced-woman-to-go-through-with-abortion-without-anesthesia-lef\">perform <\/a>abortions despite a woman&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodsearch.com\/search-web?utf8=%E2%9C%93&amp;keywords=abortionist+forced+abortion\">protestations<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.komonews.com\/news\/local\/88971742.html?\">Public school<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/blog\/renegade-employee-transports-minor-for-abortion-in-catholic-childrens-servi\">government workers<\/a>;\u00a0university funding and promotion of abortion <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2012\/03\/22\/drexel-university-continues-promoting-pro-abortion-projects\/\">projects<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/watchdog_group_claims_some_catholic_universities_promote_proabortion_internships\/\">internships<\/a>,and <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2014\/03\/27\/art-exhibit-at-university-of-michigan-honors-abortion-as-awesome-life-sustaining-act\/\">exhibits<\/a>; and Planned Parenthood marketing that targets <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2012\/05\/16\/study-planned-parenthod-tageting-college-students-with-abortion\/\">college students<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/\/thescoopblog.dallasnews.com\/2012\/08\/lawsuit-by-dallas-doctors-receptionist-says-she-was-fired-for-not-getting-an-abortion.html\/\">Employers <\/a>who threaten <a href=\"http:\/\/jobs.aol.com\/articles\/2012\/08\/02\/waitress-claims-boss-told-her-to-get-an-abortion-or-shed-be-fir\/\">job loss<\/a> if abortion not sought<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chron.com\/news\/houston-texas\/houston\/article\/Pregnant-Hockley-teen-wins-battle-to-stop-parents-4288193.php\">Parents<\/a> or those posing as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6f2RwG00uRY\">parents<\/a><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2014\/02\/21\/sexually-abusive-boyfriend-forced-her-to-get-seven-abortions\/\">Boyfriends<\/a><\/span>\u00a0who initiate girls into sex and later <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2014\/02\/27\/man-charged-with-murder-for-lacing-girlfriends-pancake-with-abortion-drug\/\">force abortion<\/a> to cover their tracks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the many cases of thinly veiled abortion steering, there have also been cases of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unfairchoice.info\/pdf\/FactSheets\/ForcedAbortions.pdf\">outright violence <\/a>toward the pregnant woman as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2014\/02\/27\/man-charged-with-murder-for-lacing-girlfriends-pancake-with-abortion-drug\/\">cases<\/a> of giving the woman\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/opinion\/2013\/06\/17\/gary-bauer-and-daniel-allott-on-forced-abortions\/2432769\/\">abortion-causing<\/a> drugs\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/breaking-man-who-slipped-ex-girlfriend-abortion-pill-sentenced-to-almost-14\">without her consent<\/a>. The worst instances of shotgun abortions force women into terrible circumstances, even\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcconnecticut.com\/news\/local\/Police-Arrest-Two-Men-for-Homicide-of-Pregnant-Woman-210502741.html\">ending<\/a>\u00a0in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/newsone.com\/2457084\/christian-ferdinand-shaniesha-forbes-death\/\">murder<\/a>\u00a0of both mother and baby.<\/p>\n<p>One of the egregious effects of abortion steering is failing to secure any informed consent or to screen for coercion, leading to an increase in violence toward women and making forced abortion the unacknowledged backup of choice. Few are aware of the legal restrictions to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8fbwWrCwcp4\">forced abortion<\/a> or have access to the necessary <a href=\"http:\/\/forceform.info\/\">forms<\/a> in time of crisis.
