The deaths and atrocities did not have to happen. So many people and organizations feigned ignorance and shock, but the filmmakers were able to show that Gosnell had been reported over and over and over again to state and local oversight agencies, and action was never taken.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The documentarians stated that <a href=\"http:\/\/3801lancaster.com\/about\/\">they have three goals<\/a> with this ongoing film project:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>First, to make the public aware of what happened at the Women&#8217;s Medical Society. Second, to give Gosnell&#8217;s victims an outlet to tell their stories. Third, to help find and shut down clinics that continue to operate in the same manner as the Women\u2019s Medical Society.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And today, they announced the release date for <em>3801 Lancaster: Part II<\/em>. It will be released on May 13, 2014, to mark the one-year anniversary anniversary of Gosnell&#8217;s conviction.
