Want to infuriate a pro-abort? Make “choose life” license plates available for people to buy. Never mind that no one is required to purchase one. Never mind that having them available is merely giving someone a choice to publicly express his or her beliefs on a contentious subject.<\/p>\n

The mere fact that these license plates are available<\/em> infuriates abortion advocates. Pro-lifers evidently shouldn’t even be able to publicly proclaim themselves pro-life.<\/p>\n

At RH Reality Check<\/em>, Andrea Grimes uncovered some absolutely horrifying, outrageous news this week: the sales of “choose life” license plates in Texas have raised – are you ready? – tens of thousands of dollars<\/a> for crisis pregnancy centers and adoption agencies. Tens of thousands!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Tens of thousands of dollars raised from sales of newly authorized \u201cChoose Life\u201d license plates in Texas will go to 13 crisis pregnancy centers and adoption agencies, as part of an effort \u201cto encourage adoption as an alternative to abortion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The state attorney general\u2019s office will award a total of $46,100 to the recipients, including $10,000 to the Gladney Center for Adoption and $7,500 to the Houston Pregnancy Help Center, according to a press release sent Monday. The grants are awarded for purposes that include \u201c[m]edia advertising to promote adoption,\u201d \u201cmaterial assistance for pregnant mothers considering adoption,\u201d \u201cadoption training for staff,\u201d and \u201ceducational and training materials on adoption.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Truly, this is an outrage. Less than $50,000 will be donated to help pregnant women who, perhaps, don’t feel so great about killing their unborn children. And that money was freely given, raised by Texans who willingly chose to purchase the license plates. It wasn’t just taken out of taxpayers’ pockets without giving them any choice in the matter…like, say, federal funding for Planned Parenthood, which Grimes, of course, doesn’t mention. Planned Parenthood received over half a billion dollars from taxpayers<\/a> last year. But under $50,000 in donations – donations<\/em> – going towards abortion alternatives? How awful!<\/p>\n

Time and time again, pro-aborts can’t seem to help but show just how anti-choice they are. If choice was really what they were fighting for, then they wouldn’t be against crisis pregnancy centers and adoption agencies. They’d encourage women to explore those alternatives before making such a life-changing decision as having an abortion. They wouldn’t care if money was going to an adoption agency instead of an abortion clinic. But that’s not the case, is it?<\/p>\n

Abortion advocates, who are not pro-choice no matter how often they claim that they are, are interested in giving women only one choice, and that’s abortion. Sure, they’ll pay lip service to how, say, adoption is a viable choice for women. But gosh, it’s just so hard<\/em>, and is emotional torture, and adoption agencies are really evil, and wouldn’t abortion just be so much easier?<\/p>\n

And crisis pregnancy centers are a huge thorn in the sides of abortion advocates. Heaven forbid a woman have the option of being seen somewhere that might actually help her keep<\/em> her baby, because that would be just terrible. So they lie and smear and demonize, in a sick effort to keep driving women to abortion facilities…all while claiming they just want women to have “choice.”<\/p>\n

But what they’re doing? That’s not fighting to give women a choice. They’ve chosen on behalf of women. Their outrage over the very existence of abortion alternatives, and Americans freely choosing to give money to them, broadcasts their true colors loud and clear.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
