\u201cSo you don\u2019t like having the tables turned on you? Well turnabout is fair play.\u201d

North Carolina anti-life advocates are up in arms over a youth awareness project that shared information regarding abstinence and abortion promoting race targeting tactics. According to Dr. Alveda King, director of African American Outreach for Priests for Life, and Dr. Johnny Hunter, national director of pro-life research organization L.E.A.R.N., the media and anti-life advocates are trying to stir up racial tension where none was intended.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to reach out and reach in to inform young students that abortion and unnatural contraceptives are dangerous,\u201d said Dr. King. \u201cBlack-in-reach\u201d according to Dr. Hunter, is a \u201cvery effective strategy to stop the womb-lynching that is trying to destroy our generations.\u201d<\/p>\n

For decades the pro-abortion\/pro-choice\/anti-life camp has been targeting middle school, high school and college students as well as African Americans and Hispanics with slick marketing campaigns designed to snooker young people into using harmful chemicals and surgical procedures to prevent natural pregnancies and kill babies. Admittedly, their tactics have been pretty successful. So it isn\u2019t surprising that they cry foul when someone beats them at their game.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Here are the facts. Street Samaritan \u2013 a charitable organization whose mission is to provide resources to help the homeless and others in need in the Lexington community were conducting a free speech demonstration near a Wake County school. They were passing out literature regarding abortion awareness when parents at Enloe High School received a call from the school about the demonstration.<\/p>\n

Outside students were handed literature, some with a message for boys and girls, some with articles written by leading African American civil rights leaders. Inside that \u201cDid You Know?\u201d pamphlet was a message from Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The local news affiliate questioned the students and reported that some said the literature they received from the “Street Samaritans” was different from what others received.<\/p>\n

The ministry group displayed pro-life posters and promoted abstinence as well as passing out materials from Human Life Alliance. Bill Schulz, the Street Samaritans director told ABC11 that they separately distributed pamphlets to the ethnic groups in order to reach students in a real way.<\/p>\n

“We decided we have to get out ahead of their decision making where they find themselves in a circumstance,” said Schulz.<\/p>\n

Reportedly some students told ABC11 they found the tactics very offending, saying they wish the message was promoted across the board and not by race. In response, Dr. King pointed out that \u201cPlanned Parenthood, America\u2019s largest abortion provider who collects US tax dollars to run their awareness campaigns also designs various materials to appeal to demographic groups according to age, gender, economic status and ethnicity. While such an approach isn\u2019t unusual, I\u2019m sure that there is nothing in either HLA magazine distributed by Street Samaritan that is designed to offend anyone. In fact, the students have been exchanging the materials and enjoying healthy discussions which surely is the goal of Street Samaritan,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n

Street Samaritan plans to hold another rally at a Wake County school next month where they will distribute all the materials to everyone, regardless of ethnicity or other human distinctions. They have not yet decided which school they will visit next.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
