In a creative and imaginative use of biology and logic in favor of her abortion-advocating agenda,\u00a0Guardian<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>writer Sarah Ditum deduced that females should be allowed to abort females that they don’t “want” growing inside of them. She also posited that to deny her this right (via “forcing” her to carry an “unwanted<\/a>” female baby to term) is to subject her to “rank brutality.”<\/p>\n

The column came in the wake of a disturbing story out of the U.K. in which doctors — in the name of so-called “public interest<\/a>” — were not<\/em> prosecuted by the government for sanctioning sex-selection abortions of baby girls. Members from all corners of the government were outraged by the decision.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Some politicians are concerned<\/a> that the decision places the U.K. on par with countries like China and India, where strong anti-girl preferences have lead to overwhelming epidemics of sex-selection abortion, abandonment, and infanticide<\/a> of baby girls, as well as lopsided demographics. One well-known female abortionist in the U.K. scored many shocked headlines<\/a> following the non-prosecution incident with her statement that a woman’s so-called “right” to abort baby girls because they’re female is in-line with the U.K.’s Abortion Act of 1967.<\/p>\n

Ditum, who shares the abortionist’s views, backed her argument that it is within a “woman’s rights” to choose to abort a tiny woman inside of her (and not a contradiction of feminist values), because, actually, the fetus is only\u00a0liable to become\u00a0<\/em>a female. Never mind the long-standing biological fact<\/a> that the sex of a pre-born child is determined by the male gamete contribution (which itself establishes a girl or boy’s sex at the moment sperm and egg meet). Science is just so darn inconvenient sometimes, especially for individuals like Ms. Ditum, who believe that some women should be allowed to kill other women who are smaller-than and dependent-upon them for life. At the end of the day, it’s all about what the bigger, older women\u00a0want,<\/em>\u00a0according to Ditum, who said this (emphasis added):\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

…it doesn’t matter<\/strong> whether what’s growing inside you is liable to end up as a man or a woman<\/strong>. What matters is whether the person it’s growing inside \u2013 the person who is going to have to deliver the resulting baby, at not inconsiderable personal peril \u2013 actually wants to be pregnant<\/strong> and give birth to this child.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
