Instruments of real violence<\/p><\/div>\n

After Cesare Santangelo was caught by a Live Action investigator<\/a>, claiming that he would not do anything to help a baby who had survived a botched abortion at his clinic, he lashed out with this senseless accusation<\/a>:<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like to feed into these people. I really consider them terrorists.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wait. Just a second. A “doctor” who has been caught revealing that he is willing to <\/a><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. break the law<\/li>\n
  2. provide no<\/em> medical care to a struggling newborn<\/li>\n
  3. pressure a nervous woman into an abortion, and<\/li>\n
  4. call a hospital “stupid” for following the law and caring for surviving babies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    wants to call the mother and the organization who found him out a “terrorist”?<\/p>\n

    Hmm… What exactly is a terrorist? Let’s consult an expert – say the FBI. An FBI report on terrorism<\/a> explains:<\/p>\n

    Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as ‘the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives’ (28 C.F.R. Section 0.85).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    Since when has an investigation – that consists of words, questions, and a video camera, no less – been considered “violent”? In fact, neither the mother who questioned Santangelo nor any member of the Live Action team itself has made a single violent statement, much less committed a violent act. Violence is contrary to the very position<\/a> of pro-life activists. We do not commit violence to achieve peace. We do not support violence to stop violence.<\/p>\n

    Contrary to Santangelo’s ridiculous assertions, we are advocating for an end<\/em><\/a> to violence. The very purpose of Live Action’s “Inhuman” investigation<\/a> is to expose, condemn, and stop violence.<\/p>\n

    Santangelo – and other abortionists – are the ones who commit violence on a daily basis. They are the ones who cruelly suffocate<\/a> an almost-born baby. They are the ones who basically behead<\/a> a struggling newborn. They are the ones who, piece by bloody piece<\/a>, pull a mutilated baby out of his mother’s once safe womb. They are the ones who use suction so strong<\/a>, a developing baby crumples into a vacuum-like device, spine first. They are the ones who deny life-saving<\/a> treatment<\/a> to babies gasping for air, flailing their tiny arms, and silently begging for a chance at life.<\/p>\n

    Violence? Terrorism? We are not the ones who commit such atrocities. Instead, we speak out with all we have against <\/em>violence – beginning with those who are the smallest, most innocent, and most helpless among us.<\/p>\n
