Doctors warned her it would be difficult for her to conceive at all. After undergoing a laparoscopy to remove the cysts on her ovaries, Brittany conceived and gave birth to the couple\u2019s son, JB, naturally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brittany told<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmorningamerica.com\/family\/story\/mom-welcomes-triplets-after-10-years-thinking-kids-123585664\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good Morning America (GMA)<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that she Josh tried to have more children afterward but suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child through miscarriage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The couple decided against using assisted reproductive technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019ve seen so much heartbreak with the IVF journeys and stuff, and I was like, \u2018I\u2019ve got my one, I\u2019ll just love on him,\u2019\u201d Brittany <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsfa.com\/2025\/07\/06\/deatsville-woman-gives-birth-identical-triplets\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">told WSFA 120<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brittany and Josh decided to surrender their family\u2019s future into God\u2019s hands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We were just kind of leaving it up to God, and saying, &#8216;If it&#8217;s meant to be, it&#8217;ll be. If it&#8217;s not, it won&#8217;t,'&#8221; Brittany told GMA, &#8220;So, after 10 years, we just thought JB was going to be our one and only [child].&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Details:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was the week of Brittany&#8217;s 36th birthday in August of 2024 when the Ingrams learned they were expecting m<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">onochorionic triamniotic triplets \u2014 genetically identical triplets who <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">share a single placenta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&#8217;s an extremely rare phenomenon, with an estimated incidence of only 1 in 100,000 to 200,000 pregnancies,\u201d Brittany\u2019s doctor, Ayodeji Sanusi, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmorningamerica.com\/family\/story\/mom-welcomes-triplets-after-10-years-thinking-kids-123585664\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brittany was considered to have a high-risk pregnancy and was placed on bed rest at 19 weeks. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But premature labor began at 22 weeks, and after careful consultation, doctors treated her with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/treatments\/17970-cervical-cerclage\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cervical cerclage<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, sewing her cervix closed so that she was able to carry the babies until 30 weeks gestation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After their delivery, Brittany was treated and stabilized for her complications, which included <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">postpartum preeclampsia, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The triplets stayed in the neonatal intensive care unit for about two months before going home healthy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brittany hopes their story will encourage others who have struggled with infertility. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Don&#8217;t give up. There&#8217;s always hope,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Just because it&#8217;s not on your timing doesn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s not ever going to happen.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>What&#8217;s Happening:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Restorative Reproductive Medicine is increasingly being used to help heal women\u2019s bodies, simultaneously enabling women to conceive children naturally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As in Brittany\u2019s case, many women diagnosed with infertility due to endometriosis and PCOS have been able to conceive after a laparoscopy and treatment of their underlying fertility issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maria Armstrong and her husband Jordan <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/couple-infertility-conceive-naturally\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">were told<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by doctors that they <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mother.ly\/news\/tiktok-wife-shares-pregnancy-with-husband\/\">suffered<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from unexplained infertility. The couple turned to multiple rounds of fertility \u2018treatments,\u2019 including intrauterine insemination and IVF, which did not help them conceive.
