I never got to meet my mom&#8217;s mother, but her sister, Daphne, stepped in as a grandma figure to me. You were made to rule and reign \u2014 not in power, but in purpose, love, and identity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The couple first <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/tim-tebow-demi-leigh-pregnant-first-baby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> their pregnancy in January.<\/p>\n<h2>The Backstory:<\/h2>\n<p>Tim Tebow has been an outspoken pro-life advocate for years, giving the keynote speech at the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/tim-tebow-keynote-march-life-rose-dinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2021 March for Life Rose Dinner Gala<\/a>, where he said he would rather be known for saving babies than for winning the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>His pro-life story began when his mother, Pam, was pressured to abort him while the family lived in the Philippines. In a speech at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/nfl-stars-mom-doctors-told-me-to-abort-tim-tebow...-said-his-birth-was-a-mi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018 March for Life<\/a>, Pam said she bled and cramped throughout the pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best doctor in town did some tests. She determined that Timmy was a \u2018mass of fetal tissue \u2013 a tumor,\u2019 and I needed to abort immediately or I would die,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause of our love for the life in the womb, we chose to trust God and refused to have an abortion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By the end of the pregnancy, only a small piece of the placenta remained attached, leaving Tim malnourished. Doctors called it a miracle that he survived.<\/p>\n<p>Demi-Leigh has also been a pro-life advocate, and has previously <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/demi-leigh-tebow-sister-special-needs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared<\/a> the story of her sister Franje, who was &#8220;born with severe special needs and disabilities&#8221; and died in 2019 at the age of 13.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Franje\u2019s life \u2026 was so significant and so special. \u2026 I don\u2019t think that we [will] fully know the extent of the purpose that her life has had until one day I get to meet my maker and be with her again,&#8221; said Demi-Leigh.<\/p>\n<h2>The Bottom Line:<\/h2>\n<p>If Tim Tebow&#8217;s mother had listened to the doctors and aborted her son, he would not exist today, and neither would his daughter.
