AFY\u2019s hyper-sexualized propaganda consistently includes pro-transgender and pro-abortion ideology.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>AFY&#8217;s Youth Abortion Support Collective Training Series teaches 14-24-year-olds to become &#8220;abortion doulas&#8221; and instructs them on how to teach women to lie about abortion pill complications.<\/li>\n<li>The series endorses use of the abortion pill late in pregnancy.<\/li>\n<li>The series trainers admit women have been traumatized by seeing their formed babies after taking the abortion pill.<\/li>\n<li>The AFY trainers say that herbs and a breast pump can be used to attempt at-home abortions \u2014 something that is not considered safe for women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to AFY, its \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocatesforyouth.org\/youthasc-abortion-support-training-series\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Youth Abortion Support Collective<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d (YouthASC) Training Series was created to train 14-24 year olds who are interested in \u201cbecoming an abortion doula, companion, and\/or support person\u201d and aims to create \u201cyouth-led abortion support efforts, specifically for high school and college students.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the YouthASC and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocatesforyouth.org\/press-releases\/announcing-abortion-out-loud\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abortion Out Loud<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> initiatives, AFY teams up with the international group, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wearedopo.com\/home\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DOPO &#8211; Abortion Care and Education for All<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to provide course content online which can be used by activists who want to host and lead groups from anywhere.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The training <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1goHM-fb2vHQPgcmlHkxC5ps7kHFfpjBg\/view\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">video<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> hosts, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/zachi-brewster-51b37271\/?originalSubdomain=uk\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zachi Brewster<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/carly-kol\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carly Manes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, claim to provide scientific and medically accurate information in the AFY activist training. This drug regimen has killed an estimated <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/big-abortion-avoids-buries-pill-complications\/\">7.5 million preborn children<\/a> in the U.S. alone since it was legalized in 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In line with these efforts, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Ye6jkIgvoNsQZBMY1ZUQRZxRto-kQgfY\/view\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AFY and DOPO<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> train youth activists to instruct women about how to take abortion pills <\/span><b>and lie to medical professionals<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> when a woman is facing potentially deadly complications. The training states (emphasis added):\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mifepristone and Misoprostol are NOT detectable in the blood if taken orally\u2026 so if someone is having a medical abortion and they do need medical support or they are having an abortion at home but they do need to go to a care facility, <strong>they can say that they are having spontaneous miscarriage as the process is the same<\/strong><\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As Live Action News <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/dumping-patients-pushing-lie-misled-abortion-pill\/\">previously reported<\/a>, when women lie about abortion pill complications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Those complications are never reported as such to the manufacturer or the FDA.<\/li>\n<li>Other women (and the public) remain in the dark about the true risks of the abortion pill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While this is certainly beneficial for the <em>abortion industry<\/em> \u2014 which will keep claiming the pill is &#8220;safer than Tylenol&#8221; \u2014 it is <em>not<\/em> safe for the women who are put at risk due to this intentional deception. abortion pill<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both Manes and Brewster \u2014 who report having helped women to use the abortion pill up to <em>24 weeks<\/em> of pregnancy \u2014 never discuss the increased health risks to women; instead, they advise activists to memorize a chart that breaks down the use of the abortion pill through 28 weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When asked by an attendee about the commonality of live births resulting from failed abortions using abortion pills, Manes responds by stating that babies aborted at 12 weeks cannot survive outside of the womb because \u201cit\u2019s [the baby] not developed enough.\u201d However, due to the abortion pill&#8217;s &#8220;no-test&#8221; abortion drugs<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AFY trainers casually admit to the trauma women experience, as well as the abortion industry&#8217;s intentional misleading of women.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brewster states, \u201cA lot of the people I support\u2026 are often very shocked sometimes\u201d at the abortion process.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She added:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providers don\u2019t generally like to talk about bleeding or cramping and pain because they don\u2019t want to fuel anti-abortion rhetoric that abortions can be painful and it is part of the experience for it to be painful\u2026. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some people don\u2019t know, some people think or are told that they will just bleed&#8230; passing the clots and the pregnancy tissue [the baby&#8217;s remains].<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h3><b>Toxic Advice: Herbs and Breast Pumps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At one point during the training, Manes discusses herbal and \u201chome-aspiration\u201d methods for self-managed, at-home abortions (emphases added): <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i>Herbal abortion, <strong>a home aspiration abortion with a breast pump<\/strong>, is also self-managed\u2026 <strong>herbs and manual extraction are wonderful forms<\/strong> of managing your own abortion at home.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The promotion of using herbs as an <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">abortifacient is highly dangerous. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/fact-check-abortion-herbal-remedies-safety-970581983231\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Associated Press<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported, \u201cExperts strongly warn against trying to self-manage an abortion using any herbs, as many of these alleged remedies not only do not work but are dangerous or even deadly.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This AFY video is evidence that the abortion industry is giving women dangerous advice, because \u201cthe abortion industry has been <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">intentionally<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> attempting to expand self-managed abortion for years,\u201d as reported previously by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/self-managed-abortions-rising-gaslighting-public\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Action News<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Action News has <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/pro-abortion-activist-teaching-suction-abortions\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> about the dangerous risks of at-home aspiration abortions, which include:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hemorrhaging\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tearing of the cervix\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uterine trauma<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Incomplete abortion\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Infection<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Ingrid Skop, FACOG, VP and Director of Medical Affairs for the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charlotte Lozier Institute<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, responded to such outrageous \u201cadvice\u201d by AFY\/Dopo activist trainers, telling Live Action News (emphasis added):<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recent recommendations by abortion activists demonstrate<\/span><\/i><b><i> just how little they care for women<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Increasingly dangerous methods are callously promoted as \u201csafe\u201d despite no evidence. One vivid example is the use of a breast pump to \u201cself-manage\u201d an at-home abortion. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even when an electrical surgical aspiration is performed by an abortionist, it can fail to remove all the pregnancy tissue and baby body parts, requiring a repeat procedure to prevent hemorrhage, infection or other complications. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A personal-use breast pump generates only a fraction of the suction pressure that a surgical aspirator can. This unproven method could injure a woman. We\u2019re even doing so for more or less the same <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.guttmacher.org\/sites\/default\/files\/pdfs\/tables\/370305\/3711005t2.pdf\"><i>reasons<\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Like the Carthaginians, we\u2019re motivated by population control and the preservation of economic resources. Like the Maya, we kill our children because we consider ourselves\u2013and our personal goals\u2013more important than they are. And like the Aztecs and Chim\u00fa, some <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2019\/09\/05\/bernie_sanders_abortion_and_population_control_are_important_parts_of_addressing_climate_change.html\"><i>people<\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> even think abortion is necessary to combat climate issues. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only things that have changed are the specific killing methods and the gods being worshiped. Today, the gods in whose names these sacrifices are committed are usually money, achievement, and \u201csuccess.\u201d The victim\u2019s own mother even deifies herself by claiming authority over life and death in the name of achieving her own ends.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Action Research Fellow Carole Novielli <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-pill-shadow-network-countless-break-law\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that some abortion pill distributors and \u201cabortion doulas\u201d in central America send \u201ca small amount of acid so the client can dissolve some of the fetus, and bury whatever is left\u201d of the remains. The Charlotte Lozier Institute also <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/fetaldisposition\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the ways abortion clinics break laws regarding the proper disposal of human fetal remains; some have used garbage disposals to grind up the bodies of aborted babies. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201ctraining\u201d by AFY and DOPO goes on to attack pro-life pregnancy centers, which assist women in crisis, as &#8220;fake clinics.&#8221; Brewster also claims that &#8216;abortion pill reversal&#8217; (the administration of progesterone in an attempt to outcompete the action of mifepristone) does not work. \u201cOnce you\u2019ve taken a mifepristone that pregnancy will need to come out,\u201d she said. The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abortion Pill Rescue\u00ae Network (APRN) <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/heartbeat-international-says-abortion-pill-reversal-has-now-saved-6000-babies\/\">credits<\/a> &#8216;abortion pill reversal&#8217; for<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0over 6,000 preborn babies saved<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Indoctrinate and recapitulate<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manes (who also goes by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/carly-kol\/details\/experience\/\">Carly Kol<\/a>) is a product of the information disseminated by AFY. She<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0describes herself as a \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wearedopo.com\/about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">full-spectrum doula<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d and is a co-founder and trainer for DOPO. Manes and some other &#8220;abortion doulas\u201d claim to \u201cintegrate spirituality and ritual&#8221; into abortion procedures, \u201coffering yoga, meditation, prayer, traditional medicine and even Tarot reading,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/religionnews.com\/2022\/07\/12\/post-roe-abortion-doulas-lean-into-ritual-brace-for-increased-demand\/\">Religion News Service<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In an interview with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/rewirenewsgroup.com\/2013\/01\/23\/reclaiming-conversation-on-abortion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rewire News Group<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Manes explained how she began her abortion activism after getting involved in AFY\u2019s \u201c1 in 3 campaign\u201d (now known as \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocatesforyouth.org\/abortion-out-loud\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abortion Out Loud<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d) and joined \u201cStudents for Choice\u201d while in college. It was AFY who trained Manes \u2014 and she later became an AFY board member and worked as a spokesperson and coordinator for Planned Parenthood Federation of America, according to her <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/carly-kol\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Linked In<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> profile. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manes is also the author of the pro-abortion children&#8217;s book, \u201cWhat\u2019s an Abortion, Anyway?\u201d which <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/nothing-realistic-pro-abortion-childrens-book\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Action News<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has reported is far from \u2018medically accurate,\u2019 referring to the child growing in the womb as &#8220;the pregnancy&#8221; and describing the abortion pill as a &#8220;medicine&#8221; that women can take to &#8220;stop the pregnancy from growing bigger.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Why It Matters:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because of the accessibility of abortion drugs with no in-person visit, online, with zero testing or assessing gestational age, some women are using it to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/reports-abortion-pill-kill-babies-late-pregnancy\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kill preborn children<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the womb very late in pregnancy, which can result in deadly consequences for baby and mother. Promoting early, DIY abortions <em>by breast pump<\/em> is also irresponsible. Women already suffer incomplete abortions by <em>pill<\/em> \u2014 surely attempting self-abortions by <em>breast pump<\/em> runs a similar risk of remaining incomplete.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One thing is certain: abortion groups like AFY and DOPO are willing to spread unsafe and false information to women about abortion in order to promote an agenda.
