The program promotes perverse ideas about children being &#8220;sexual from birth.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Planned Parenthood <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">boasts of being the \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthoodaction.org\/issues\/sex-education\/how-planned-parenthood-teaches-sex-education\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">single largest provider of sex education<\/span><\/a>,<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d claiming to reach 1.2 million in the U.S.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Background:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sex Ed To-Go<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">created by Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, is marketed as a free online program for nationwide use and includes free lessons for both teachers and students. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Teachers Pay Teachers (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teacherspayteachers.com\/store\/sex-ed-to-go-by-planned-parenthood#:~:text=About%20the%20store,Sex%20Ed%20To%2DGo%20logo.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TPT<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), an online resource where teachers share free or low-cost curriculum, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sex Ed To-Go<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Has over 20,000 users with over 50,000 course enrollments. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is promoted for use by 3rd-12th graders. [<em>Editor&#8217;s Note: The Sex Ed To-Go site itself lists the intended audience as 4th-12th graders.<\/em>]<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Claims to stress the importance of teaching students \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sexedtogoteachers.thinkific.com\/courses\/take\/teachingpregnancy\/lessons\/24087562-video-tips-for-teaching-about-pregnancy-and-pregnancy-options\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">medically accurate, biased-free education<\/span><\/a>.<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, this curriculum has scientifically questionable lessons rife with pro-abortion and eugenics-based ideology.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The teachers&#8217; lessons include training modules which promote the idea that children are <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/where-todays-sex-ed-came-from-matters\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sexual from birth<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and attempt to convince educators that children should be taught sex education as early as Kindergarten. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like so many other Planned Parenthood-drafted sex education curricula utilized in U.S. schools, the curriculum incorporates Advocates For Youth and AMAZE videos, along with other sexually explicit websites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teachers&#8217; training modules repeatedly emphasize the importance of using &#8220;inclusive&#8221; and &#8220;non-gendered&#8221; language with students, while downplaying sexually transmitted infections and diseases. Educators are advised to use phrases like &#8220;person with a vulva or a person with a penis&#8221; instead of &#8220;boy&#8221; or &#8220;girl.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>But it gets worse.<\/p>\n<h2>The Details:<\/h2>\n<h3>Sexualizing the mother-infant bond<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sexedtogoteachers.thinkific.com\/courses\/take\/effective-sex-education\/lessons\/16585854-video-getting-started\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Introduction to Effective Sex Education<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221; module begins with a video excerpt from &#8220;It was Dusk&#8221; (Yates, A., 1978), which offensively sexualizes mother-infant breastfeeding in a way that reads like a bedroom scene between two lovers \u2014 only to later reveal to the reader that it is actually a scene between a nursing mother and her four-month-old baby. The end of the excerpt finally sums up, &#8220;Having completed a six o&#8217;clock feeding, this four-month-old had also experienced one more minute contribution to his further sexual development.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The entire narrative is meant to convince the reader that a child is &#8220;sexual&#8221; from birth, merely because he or she derives nourishment from his or her mother&#8217;s breasts (which apparently are meant only to be viewed as sexual objects?) in the first stages of life outside the womb. It&#8217;s odd, to say the least, since one doesn&#8217;t usually see this behavior portrayed as such when exhibited by any other mammalian mother feeding her offspring. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who is actually educated about breastfeeding knows the incredible role that it plays in the bonding of mother and child (incredibly important for <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC10631302\/\">emotional and cognitive development<\/a>) and in the <em>health<\/em> of mother and child. And of course, what the child is gaining is far more important than &#8220;sexual development&#8221; \u2014 he or she gains sustenance to maintains life and provide individualized nutrition as he or she grows. It&#8217;s incredible \u2014 and it&#8217;s not even fully understood by science.<\/p>\n<p>Only the perverse mind would choose to reduce such a <a href=\"https:\/\/womenshealth.gov\/its-only-natural\/addressing-breastfeeding-myths\/incredible-facts\">biological marvel<\/a> to something &#8220;sexual.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3><b>Promoting pro-abortion propaganda by omitting the preborn child<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sex Ed To-Go<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lesson for teachers, &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sexedtogoteachers.thinkific.com\/courses\/take\/teaching-online-safety\/downloads\/58500939-good-supplemental-videos\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teaching Pregnancy, Childbirth, Adoption &amp; Abortion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; utilizes a PowerPoint presentation which uses deliberately deceptive photos from the MYA Network. As <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/media-fire-photos-pregnancy-tissue-embryos\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Action News<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported in 2022, these photos show only fragments of the empty gestational sac at various points of development, yet falsely portray the photos as accurate representations of six- and nine-week pregnancies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sex Ed To-Go<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> module is even worse; the Planned Parenthood presenter flat-out lies to students and teachers using the MYA photos to claim, \u201cAt six weeks, an embryo looks like the first image: like a small tuft of cotton or a piece of a dandelion.\u201d This is quickly followed by the claim, \u201cAbout 36% \u2014 just over one third \u2014 of abortions happen between 7 and 9 weeks of gestational age. You can see a fetus at that stage in the second image.\u201d Students and teachers literally cannot see the pre-born baby in the photo in the false and medically inaccurate lesson plan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_333649\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-333649\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-333649\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Sex-Ed-to-Go-screenshot-1-700x520.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Sex-Ed-to-Go-screenshot-1-700x520.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Sex-Ed-to-Go-screenshot-1-300x223.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Sex-Ed-to-Go-screenshot-1-768x570.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Sex-Ed-to-Go-screenshot-1-500x371.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Sex-Ed-to-Go-screenshot-1.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-333649\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sex-Ed to Go screenshot uses debunked MYA images of gestational sacs without embryos.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both lessons for teachers and students regarding abortions claim that abortion is \u201csafe,\u201d never mentioning that abortion results in the death of a preborn human being, nor do the lessons include any of the potential <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/research-really-shows-abortions-physical-risks\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">risks<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> associated with abortions at any stage in pregnancy.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When describing vacuum aspiration and D&amp;E abortions, the Planned Parenthood presenter fails to describe what is actually occurring inside the mother&#8217;s womb during life-ending abortions, referring to the preborn human child simply as \u2018pregnancy tissue\u2019 being emptied from the woman\u2019s uterus. See the truth here:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zVk1qM1El9o?si=UujHpTqnmmJCJj2c\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>Normalizing Pornography Consumption by Children<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/acpeds.org\/the-impact-of-pornography-on-children\/#:~:text=Sexual%20predators%20have%20purposefully%20exposed,the%20lives%20of%20current%20adolescents.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American College of Pediatricians<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> states that &#8220;Sexual predators have purposefully exposed young children to pornography for the purpose of grooming the children for sexual exploitation.\u201d Since Planned Parenthood and its affiliates promote pornography to educators and students alike through its Sex Ed To-Go program, this seems quite similar to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-children-groomed-early-sexual-activity\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grooming<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the FoSE tradition of promoting pornography to children, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sex Ed To-Go<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> module for teachers, &#8220;Teaching Online Safety and Porn\/Media Literacy,&#8221; recommends the website, &#8220;The Porn Conversation&#8221; as a resource, stating its &#8220;free and easily accessible tools for young people about sex \u2014 beginning with the topic of porn.&#8221; It highlights a &#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Porn Literacy&#8221;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> video as a &#8220;great resource for tweens and teens&#8221; and refers to pornography as \u201centertainment,\u201d stating, \u201cThe main purpose of porn is to entertain, not educate.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sex Ed To-Go<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> student lesson, &#8220;Sex in the Media: What You Need to Know,&#8221; aims to normalize and encourage the consumption of pornography by children, framing it as &#8220;entertainment&#8221; and pleasurable so long as the student is informed on &#8220;porn literacy.&#8221; The lesson states (emphasis added):<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Porn shows lots of penises, vulvas, and orgasms. But it doesn\u2019t always show the things about sex that most people may value, like communication, foreplay, laughing, consent, sexual protection, cuddling or sex that doesn\u2019t end in orgasm. <\/span><b>So keep that in mind while you\u2019re watching<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those who use the Sex Ed To-Go modules to visit the \u201cPorn Conversation\u201d will see blog posts such as \u2018To Play or Not to Play: Is Stigma Holding You Back from Using Sex Toys as a Penis Owner?\u2019; \u2018What is Ethical Porn? And Where Can I Find It?\u2019; and \u2018A Sex Therapist\u2019s Tips to Watching Porn as a Couple.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;<em>Penis owner<\/em>&#8216;??<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neither the student nor teacher modules mention known harmful effects of pornography on children and teens, which according to the American College of Pediatricians <a href=\"https:\/\/acpeds.org\/the-impact-of-pornography-on-children\/#:~:text=Sexual%20predators%20have%20purposefully%20exposed,the%20lives%20of%20current%20adolescents.\">include<\/a>:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Feelings of \u201cdisgust, shock, embarrassment, anger, fear, and sadness\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Increased anxiety and depression<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anti-social behaviors, and a greater risk of \u201ca broad range of maladaptive behaviors and psychopathology\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The American College of Pediatricians also <a href=\"https:\/\/acpeds.org\/the-impact-of-pornography-on-children\/#:~:text=Sexual%20predators%20have%20purposefully%20exposed,the%20lives%20of%20current%20adolescents.\">reports<\/a>, \u201cChildren under twelve years old who have viewed pornography are statistically more likely to sexually assault their peers.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Bottom Line:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taxpayer funds should not be given to any organization which promotes the detrimental exposure of children to pornography or which promote the violent death of preborn children in the womb through propaganda. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sex Ed To-Go<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is yet another disturbing tool Planned Parenthood uses to sexualize infants and children while indoctrinating educators and children.
