Founded in 2012 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/lerer-ventures-third-venture-capital-fund-2012-10\">by former Huffington Post<\/a> chairman Kenneth Lerer and CEO Eric Hippeau, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social media-based organization is known for promulgating pro-abortion ideology. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For years, the Eric and Barbara Hippeau Foundation has been<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/jewish-communal-fund\/#:~:text=The%20JCF%20also%20gave%20over,Federation%20of%20America%20in%202021.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">part of a coalition of organizations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that has helped to<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/jcfny.org\/app\/uploads\/2020\/01\/JCF-2019-Annual-Report.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provide millions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in private funding to Planned Parenthood. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, NowThisImpact&#8217;s view of an animated baby developing in the womb as &#8220;creepy&#8221; shouldn&#8217;t be surprising.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Details:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DLNRVlfpyCF\/?igsh=MXJudjR2YTdodmtlNw%3D%3D\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social media tirade<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> against &#8220;Baby Olivia,&#8221; NowThisImpact claims that new laws inspired by &#8220;Baby Olivia&#8221; are &#8220;forcing kids to watch&#8221; \u2014 when in reality, many of the prenatal education laws do not specify any certain videos to be shown, with &#8220;Baby Olivia&#8221; listed as one of the options that meets the requirements for educators in the classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The group claims the &#8220;video focuses on anti-choice rhetoric,&#8221; when abortion isn&#8217;t even mentioned in the video. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The influencer in the video also claims &#8220;Baby Olivia&#8221; gives a &#8220;weird personification of the fetus&#8221; by naming the baby and &#8220;trying to make the baby cute.&#8221; She further claims, &#8220;The video&#8217;s intention is to convince kids with their open spongy brains to be anti-abortion\u2026 because if they personify a fetus then they convince the viewer abortion is murder and it should be illegal.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The influencer seems upset at the idea that if children in school learn about what&#8217;s actually occurring during pregnancy, they might not be able to as easily dehumanize preborn children in order to abort them \u2014 and might actually come to oppose the killing of those children.<\/p>\n<h2>Reality Check:<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;Baby Olivia&#8221; is no more &#8220;creepy&#8221; than a woman naming her child while he or she is still in the womb, or tracking her child&#8217;s development with a tracker like BabyCenter.com \u2014 information which is freely available online for anyone to access.<\/p>\n<p>For example, here&#8217;s what BabyCenter says about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.babycenter.com\/pregnancy\/week-by-week\/14-weeks-pregnant\">Week 14 of pregnancy<\/a>:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_333300\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-333300\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-333300 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/BabyCenter-development-14-weeks-700x532.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"532\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/BabyCenter-development-14-weeks-700x532.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/BabyCenter-development-14-weeks-300x228.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/BabyCenter-development-14-weeks-768x584.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/BabyCenter-development-14-weeks-500x380.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/BabyCenter-development-14-weeks.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-333300\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BabyCenter.com &#8211; 14 weeks description<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Notice the &#8220;weird personification&#8221; of the fetus through use of the term &#8220;baby&#8221; and the description of movements like squinting, frowning, grimacing, sucking, chewing, punching, and kicking. <em>Is this &#8220;anti-choice rhetoric&#8221;?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>But it gets even <em>worse<\/em> (at least for the person in denial about the humanity of a child in the womb). It looks as if the creators of this video are \u2014 <em>gasp!<\/em> \u2014 &#8220;trying to make the baby cute&#8221;! And it even looks <em>human<\/em>!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_333303\" style=\"width: 710px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-333303\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-333303\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/babycenter-video-week-14-700x490.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/babycenter-video-week-14-700x490.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/babycenter-video-week-14-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/babycenter-video-week-14-768x538.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/babycenter-video-week-14-500x350.jpg 500w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/babycenter-video-week-14.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-333303\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BabyCenter video screenshot, week 14<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Ironically, the NowThis influencer even claims that abortion \u2014 the <em>intentional<\/em> and <em>direct<\/em> killing of a preborn human being \u2014 is somehow \u201clife-saving.\u201d Even if this influencer only counts pregnant women with health emergencies as &#8220;lives saved,&#8221; with a million abortions every year in the U.S. alone it is extremely unlikely that those million deaths somehow did anything whatsoever to protect even <em>one-thousandth<\/em> as many women&#8217;s lives.<\/p>\n<p>Common sense tells us that killing a million humans isn&#8217;t a lifesaving act.<\/p>\n<h2>The Other Side:<\/h2>\n<p>NowThis Impact believes &#8220;Baby Olivia&#8221; is unacceptable, while porn, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-promotes-benefits-transgender-ideology\/\">transgender ideology<\/a>, and abortion are appropriate.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is notable is that Baby Olivia is labeled as &#8220;propaganda&#8221; for school children. Yet, somehow, according to NowThis Impact, LGBTQIA+\u2014themed books for very young children are simply &#8220;teaching inclusivity.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Justice Gorsuch somehow turned \u2018Pride Puppy\u2019 \u2014 a children&#8217;s book about a puppy getting lost at a Pride parade \u2014 into a story he claims teaches kids about bondage and drag queens.<\/p>\n<p>This moment happened during oral arguments in Mahmoud v.
