Live Action has shared many heartbreaking stories by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/detransitioner-testifies-planned-parenthood-testosterone-16\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">detransitioners who have testified to the blatant manipulation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Planned Parenthood and similar \u2018clinics\u2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, this has not stopped the promotion of Planned Parenthood&#8217;s ideology from being pushed in Texas schools, library books, and other explicit materials, funded with taxpayer dollars, across the state. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Planned Parenthood claims to be a top provider of transgender hormones and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-facilities-transgender-planned-parenthood-younger\/\">continues to financially benefit<\/a> from the promotion of transgender ideology. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eX4bSq667cI?si=FkBy6qb3Is9IGZiM\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Planned Parenthood has <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-coalition-sexually-graphic-books-schools\/\">historical and current ties<\/a> with the American Library Association (ALA)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and promotes the use of sexually explicit books and materials provided by the ALA as a way to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-coalition-sexually-graphic-books-schools\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bypass sex-ed program restrictions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, claiming that these explicit books are \u201cabsolutely essential\u201d for children to access.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>PROTECTIONS FOR CHILDREN:<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><b>Senate Bill 12<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/capitol.texas.gov\/BillLookup\/History.aspx?LegSess=89R&amp;Bill=SB12\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Senate Bill 12<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, continues the \u201cTexas tradition of supporting and expanding and safeguarding the rights and roles of parents in their kids upbringing and their children\u2019s education,&#8221; according to House sponsor <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/leachfortexas\/status\/1928961540708762098?s=46&amp;t=o3uSyB8uaFYHja2DYGyFTg\">Rep. Jeff Leach<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bill included an adopted amendment from Rep. Steve Toth <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which bans &#8216;gender-affirming&#8217; \u201csocial transitioning&#8221; of children in schools \u2014 reportedly the first bill in the nation to do so.
