The publicity states that though the term has been used mainly to denote someone &#8220;too interested in things that do not involve them,&#8221; the group wants to &#8220;reclaim[] the term&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>democratize sex ed<\/strong> and make sure <strong>everyone has access<\/strong> to the info they deserve&#8221; (emphases added). The group, of course, had to add that they think &#8220;getting busy with your body is a great euphemism for sex.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is clear that this &#8220;digital community&#8221; intends to reach youth <em>anywhere<\/em>, regardless of state laws aiming to protect children from harmful Planned Parenthood-affiliated sex ed ideology.<\/span><\/p>\n<div Advocates for Youth uses millions of taxpayer dollars to promote its agenda, which is fully aligned with that of Planned Parenthood.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AFY has received more than $32 million in grants issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) since 1995 [Source: HHS Tracking Accountability in Government Grants System (TAGGS) website]<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interestingly, AFY claims to have recently <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/19thnews.org\/2025\/05\/advocates-for-youth-federal-funding-trump\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rejected $1.2 million<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in federal funding under the current Trump administration. It remains unclear whether AFY intends to decline funding from both HHS and the CDC.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Planned Parenthood (which supports AFY)<\/span>\u00a0has <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-annual-report-spending-sex-ed\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">spent $166 million on sex ed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> since 2021-22, based on its annual reports. From 2021-2024, Planned Parenthood reported over $186 million spent on &#8220;advocacy&#8221; promoting abortion. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AFY\u2019s 2024 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocatesforyouth.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/2023-Advocates-for-Youth-990.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">990 form<\/span><\/a> shows that<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> over $7.5 million was spent for lobbying and \u201cgrassroots\u201d activities from 2020-2023.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>2. Groups aligned with Planned Parenthood&#8217;s pro-abortion, pro-transgender agenda are looking for ways to indoctrinate youth while bypassing parental consent requirements. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite continued growing efforts by parental rights groups and state lawmakers to guard against <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/selling-sex-schools-ed-designed-failure\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Planned Parenthood-backed sex education curriculum<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and protect children from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-coalition-sexually-graphic-books-schools\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">explicit pornographic materials<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, members of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/where-todays-sex-ed-came-from-matters\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Future of Sex Education (FoSE) coalition<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> continue to expand their efforts to reach youth through digital campaigns. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They work around parental consent requirements while receiving taxpayer funds \u2014 and turn youth into paid activists who spread anti-life propaganda on school campuses and in communities. Much like AFY, Planned Parenthood targets and trains minors through its &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthoodaction.org\/communities\/planned-parenthood-generation-action\">Generation Action<\/a>&#8221; program, often working in conjunction with AFY and sharing literature &#8220;resources&#8221; for participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alongside Planned Parenthood, AFY remains a leader in creating sex education curriculum, not just in the U.S. but internationally by collaborating with the United Nations and<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/biden-pro-abortion-unicef-millions\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UNICEF sex education programs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/ark:\/48223\/pf0000260770\/PDF\/260770eng.pdf.multi\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">initiatives<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. They&#8217;re recruiting students to spread their ideology on school campuses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AFY continues to promote its &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocatesforyouth.org\/program-applications\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Youth Activist Network<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; recently closing application submissions for its year-long fellowship training program.
