Live Action News has extensively documented the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/what-we-do\/investigations\/disturbing-advice-on-sex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radical sex-ed programs<\/a> that Planned Parenthood provides for young students, which often feature graphic and explicit curriculum that <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/defund-planned-parenthood-extremist-coalition-sex-miseducators\/\">sexualizes children<\/a>, while normalizing and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-coalition-sexually-graphic-books-schools\/\">promoting<\/a> risky and age-inappropriate sexual behavior. Though the DHHS has a provision that PPMI can&#8217;t provide abortions or abortion referrals within the curriculum, there is nothing stopping it from encouraging abortion or sexual behavior, which increases the risk of pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/all.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Michigan-Family-Planning-Program-Grant-Contract-2025-pt.-3.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second grant<\/a> offered PPMI $14,798,008 for &#8220;Family Planning Services.\u201d Though the DHHS&#8217;s Title X contractual obligations forbid any mention of abortion within such &#8220;family planning services,&#8221; the contract does state: \u201cThe focus of the program is to ensure statewide access to high-quality, client-centered reproductive health care services, including a broad range of contraception, and related preventive health services for individuals and couples to achieve their reproductive goals for family size, spacing of their children, or pregnancy prevention at low or no cost.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/michigan-final-report-abortion-data-complications\/\"><em>Michigan releases state\u2019s final report on abortion data and complications<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>STOPP speculates that a Title X exception clause allows providers within the program to offer &#8220;nondirective counseling on abortion&#8221; without referring for abortions.<\/p>\n<p>Thirdly, a <a href=\"https:\/\/all.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Critical-Medication-Reserve-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Critical Medication Reserve grant<\/a> gave PPMI $2,072,000 to &#8220;provide mifepristone to those who seek it.&#8221; The first drug in the abortion pill regimen, mifepristone is responsible for depriving the preborn child of the nutrients it needs to survive. The grant stipulates \u201cThe focus of the program is to ensure that individuals in Michigan do not lose access to a critical pharmaceutical product, which has been safely used in miscarriage management and the medical termination of pregnancy for decades.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>THE BACKSTORY:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Earlier this year <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-michigan-closure-three-facilities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PPMI announced<\/a> that it was closing three of its facilities and consolidating two others, in favor of expanding virtual services.
