A transcript of a 911 call received by Operation Rescue<\/a> reveals that a 38-year-old woman was injured at Planned Parenthood in Omaha, Nebraska, on February 3, 2025. The abortion injury comes amid reports<\/a> that this particular Planned Parenthood facility is facing staffing troubles and high turnover rates.<\/p>\n

According to Operation Rescue, the injured woman was undergoing a dilation and curettage (D&C) abortion, when she experienced \u201cheavier bleeding.\u201d In an effort to determine the severity of the injury, the dispatcher asked the caller if the patient’s bleeding was \u201cpouring\u201d or \u201csquirting,\u201d but the caller “chuckled” and said she wasn’t “all the way down at that end” to determine the level of bleeding.<\/p>\n

The D&C abortion is a first trimester abortion procedure in which the woman\u2019s cervix is dilated with rods of increasing size and a hollow tube called a cannula is inserted through the opening. Powerful suction is then used to remove the preborn child, tearing him apart limb by limb in the process. Risks of the procedure include possible damage to maternal organs, lacerations, infection, bleeding, and even death.<\/p>\n
