After five years of trying unsuccessfully to conceive a child, doctors told Maria Armstrong and her husband Jordan that they suffered<\/a> from unexplained infertility. But as it turned out, it wasn’t quite so unexplained.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s such a haunting emotion about infertility that is so hard to navigate and hard to put into words. I always try to describe it as, like, \u2018I\u2019m grieving something that didn\u2019t happen\u2019… All the doctors said, \u2018It\u2019s unexplained infertility,\u2019\u201d Maria recalled.<\/span><\/p>\n

The couple turned to fertility treatments, including intrauterine insemination and IVF.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
