Few are aware that some of the power players in sex education today have an extensive history with the porn industry, direct ties to a researcher who recruited pedophiles for his &#8216;research,&#8217; and ties to a man who wanted to destigmatize bestiality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many of the founders and originating leaders of SIECUS (originally known as the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/siecus.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) \u2014 a member of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.futureofsexed.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Future of Sex Education<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (FoSE) <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/defund-planned-parenthood-extremist-coalition-sex-miseducators\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">coalition of sex-miseducators<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014may be surprising. As previously reported by Live Action News, SIECUS was founded by the former medical director of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/sex-ed-leader-prenatal-development-stigmatize-abortion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mary Steichen Calderone<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Helping her to fund the creation of the group (today known as SIECUS: Sex Ed for Social Change) was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/03\/10\/opinion\/thank-hugh-hefners-funding-for-todays-warped-sex-education-lessons\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Playboy founder<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Hugh Hefner, whose <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmhfoundation.org\/about\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foundation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also funded Planned Parenthood \u2014 and also funded a group known as the Kinsey Institute, named after Alfred Kinsey, a man dubbed the \u201cFather of the Sexual Revolution.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Warped methodology, warped ideas<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alfred Kinsey believed that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">children<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were sexual beings <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from birth<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 but he wasn&#8217;t the first to make this claim.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This idea was promoted in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplypsychology.org\/psychosexual.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">highly scrutinized and controversial<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> psychoanalytic theories of Sigmund Freud. Freud&#8217;s fellow psychoanalyst, Carl G. Jung, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC3381499\/#s9\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accused<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> him of \u201cprojecting an observation from adult life onto the child\u2019s mind,\u201d and ultimately rejected \u201cFreud\u2019s notion of the polymorphic perverse sexuality of children.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Freud\u2019s psychosexual theory is often criticized as being &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.verywellmind.com\/freudian-theory-2795845#:~:text=Freud's%20psychosexual%20theory%20is%20hard,very%20little%20insight%20into%20females\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hard to test scientifically, leaving questions about its validity<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; and suffering from a lack of data \u2014 since his theories were based on <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">one victim of incestuous<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sexual abuse<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Despite this, early <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/siecus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/10-3.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SIECUS Report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> contributors called Freud a &#8220;giant seminal&#8221; figure while alluding to the idea that Freud\u2019s psychosexual theory did not go far enough in justifying the assumption that children are inherently sexual from birth. \u201cFreud\u2019s theory of a latency period, which alleges a <\/span><b>diminution of interest<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in sexual matters from infancy to late childhood, <\/span><b>created an acceptance of a wish fulfillment which saw children as innocent sexual beings <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(emphasis added),\u201d they wrote.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In other words, as warped and unscientific as Freud&#8217;s theories were, the SIECUS authors took issue with Freud&#8217;s presupposition that children were <\/span><b>innocent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and somewhat disinterested in what he described as inherent sexual desires. Were the SIECUS authors desiring a scientific justification to support their unsettling claims that children&#8217;s sexual desires are inherently similar or equal to those of adults? It is this type of perverted ideology often illustrated in the depraved justification of pedophiles and sexual abusers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When Kinsey came on the scene, he attempted to provide a more scientific approach to sexology by gathering data. However, as Live Action News author Bettina diFiore <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/alfred-kinsey-pedophilic-research-school-sex-ed\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/unmasking-alfred-kinsey-sexual-revolution\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Built on Sand<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d series, Kinsey used <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/alfred-kinsey-collaborated-nazi-whitewashed-crimes-children\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">disturbing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and unscientific methods to obtain this data \u2014 which included <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/highly-unreliable-research-sexologist-alfred-kinsey\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">coaching pedophiles<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to use a stopwatch to record their violent sexual abuse of infants and children and to document their graphic observations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Founded on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S1158136020300359\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Darwinistic evolutionary<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ideology, Kinsey&#8217;s and Freud\u2019s theories fell flat in proving anything remotely scientific. Research Associate <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thebrooklyninstitute.com\/people\/jeffrey-escoffier\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jeffrey Escoffier<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S1158136020300359\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">noted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cThe Kinsey approach not only failed to replace Freudian theory with any sophisticated theory of its own, but it also failed to establish a viable research tradition or a more robust empirical account of the individual&#8217;s sexual behavior.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yet, SIECUS has historically based its sex-ed program upon Kinsey&#8217;s flawed claims and theories.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After Kinsey&#8217;s warped &#8216;methodology&#8217; came to light, public outrage against Kinsey led SIECUS and its supporters to distance and excuse themselves from his sexually abusive tactics in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/siecus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/24-5.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1996 SIECUS Report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Yet later, the group attempted to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">minimize<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Kinsey\u2019s active participation in hiding the severe sexual abuse of children by pedophiles, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/siecus.org\/the-far-rights-fight-against-kinsey-2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">referring<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to Kinsey as \u201cThe most significant agent of change in American cultural life in the 20th century.\u201d They labeled those opposed to Kinsey&#8217;s &#8216;research&#8217; as &#8220;far-right.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, in addition to SIECUS and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/kinseyinstitute.org\/about\/history\/index.php#:~:text=The%20first%20trustees%20of%20the,the%20Kinsey%20Institute%2C%20Indiana%20University.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kinsey Research Center<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (originally the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/siecus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/1-1.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Institute for Sex Research<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) sharing the same early donor \u2014 Hugh Hefner \u2014 the two organizations also shared originating trustees and board members. One of those individuals was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2001\/09\/12\/us\/wardell-b-pomeroy-87-aided-kinsey-s-studies-on-sex.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wardell Pomeroy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Promoting incest and bestiality<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/education\/commentary\/the-kinsey-whitewash\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">founding board member of SIECUS<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Wardell Pomeroy worked <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230829190929\/https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2001\/09\/12\/us\/wardell-b-pomeroy-87-aided-kinsey-s-studies-on-sex.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">alongside Alfred Kinsey<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for two decades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pomeroy held disturbing beliefs regarding incest and the sexual abuse of children. He told <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/archive\/6857842\/sexes-attacking-the-last-taboo\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Time<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1980, \u201cIt is time to admit that incest need not be a perversion or a symptom of mental illness\u2026. Incest between&#8230; children and adults&#8230; can sometimes be beneficial.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In an article entitled \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hli.org\/resources\/shouldnt-allow-abortions-help-victims-incest\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A New Look at Incest<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d which was printed in pornographic publications, Pomeroy further justified his unsettling beliefs, stating:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We find many beautiful and mutually satisfying [sexual] relationships between fathers and daughters. These may be transient or ongoing, but they have no harmful effects\u2026. Incest between adults and younger children can also prove to be a satisfying and enriching experience\u2026. Incest can be a satisfying, non-threatening, and even an enriching emotional experience, as I said earlier.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the book, &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/boyssex00pome\/page\/32\/mode\/2up\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boys and Sex<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/boyssex00pome\/page\/32\/mode\/2up\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pomeroy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> targeted teenage boys, even discouraging the negative stigmatization of bestiality, presenting it as if the practice is something that merely &#8220;happens&#8221; to some people:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While most people think it\u2019s at least immoral, and repulsive as well, it\u2019s practiced around the world and has been known as far back as the ancient world. In our time, about 4 percent of city boys and 17 percent of farm boys, according to Kinsey\u2019s figures, engaged in sexual behavior with animals, and 4 percent of both city and farm girls had done it. As to whether it\u2019s immoral or not, that depends entirely on the point of view\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This kind (bestiality) of sexual behavior may never happen to you, because the incidence is so low. If it does, you would be best advised to keep any knowledge of it to yourself so you can avoid either ridicule or punishment, or both. You can feel secure in your knowledge that you\u2019re not a monster, no matter what society may think about it.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Given the close relationship between Pomeroy, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thepublicdiscourse.com\/2013\/07\/10408\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SIECUS founder Mary Calderone<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the porn industry, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/siecus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/3-6.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SIECUS\u2019 position<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> referring to pornography as &#8220;art&#8221; and stating that pornography &#8220;can serve a variety of important needs in the lives of countless individuals&#8221; should come as no surprise.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WO6bDshabIw?si=RX85ZrCFid7mXqFi\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Anti-Religious Roots<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Given the penchant toward promoting bestiality \u2014 fairly common in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/darrowmillerandfriends.com\/2015\/06\/08\/post-modernism-return-pagan-sexuality\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pagan worship<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in ancient times \u2014 it should also not be surprising that SIECUS founders and originating board members have a documented history of attacking religion \u2014 specifically, Judeo-Christianity. Their belief system was based in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/americanhumanist.org\/what-is-humanism\/definition-of-humanism\/#:~:text=Humanists%20stand%20for%20the%20building,%E2%80%93%20Steven%20Schafersman\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Humanist ideology.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1973, SIECUS co-founder <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/sex-ed-leader-prenatal-development-stigmatize-abortion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lester A. Kirkendall<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/guttmacher-millions-planned-parenthood-funding-hidden\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alan F. Guttmacher<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 a VP of the American Eugenics Society and the Planned Parenthood president <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-abortion-business-man-became\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">responsible<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for introducing abortion to the organization \u2014 were co-signers of the Humanist Manifesto II, published in &#8220;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/americanhumanist.org\/what-is-humanism\/manifesto2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Humanist. The Manifesto<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,&#8221; which stated, \u201cBut we can discover no divine purpose or providence for the human species. While there is much that we do not know, humans are responsible for what we are or will become. No deity will save us; we must save ourselves.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Manifesto went on to say:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Promises of immortal salvation or fear of eternal damnation or both illusory and harmful. They distract humans from present concerns, from self-actualization, and from rectifying social injustice\u2026 There is no credible evidence that life survives the death of the body. We continue to exist in our progeny and in the way that our lives have influenced others in our culture.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1983, Kirkendall received the \u201cHumanist Award of the Year\u201d from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/americanhumanist.org\/awardees\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American Humanist Association<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, joining Mary Calderone (1974) and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.equip.org\/articles\/margaret-sanger-no-gods-no-masters\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Margaret Sanger<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1957) on the list of other awardees.
