Pro-life watchdog Operation Rescue<\/a> has shared that three women have been injured in the past handful of months at Illinois abortion facilities.<\/p>\n

Skokie<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first injury took place at Carafem Health Center in Skokie on December 4, 2024. According to the 911 transcript, the 31-year-old patient was severely hemorrhaging and needed emergency care.\u00a0The caller stated that a nurse practitioner \u2014 not a doctor \u2014 was with the woman. This facility offers<\/a> the abortion pill along with on-site aspiration procedures<\/a>. Illinois law allows nurse practitioners to commit abortions, putting women further at risk when they need advanced medical treatment as this woman did. Operation Rescue has previously<\/a> documented several abortion injuries at this business.<\/p>\n

Aurora<\/strong><\/p>\n

On March 5, 2025, a woman was injured at Planned Parenthood in Aurora. Again, the injuries were heavy bleeding after a “procedure” \u2014 most likely an abortion. Alarmingly, this is the third reported abortion injury<\/a> at this location this year alone. This facility offers second-trimester D&E abortions, and has a long history<\/a> of injuring women.<\/p>\n
