However, the court ruled that Attorney General Andrew Bailey&#8217;s office has the legal authority to force Planned Parenthood to provide records related to procedures carried out on minors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today&#8217;s the Missouri Court of Appeals ruled in favor of my office, affirming our legal authority to compel Planned Parenthood to produce documents related to the gender mutilation of minors,&#8221; said Bailey in a <a href=\"https:\/\/ago.mo.gov\/attorney-general-andrew-bailey-delivers-major-victory-in-fight-with-planned-parenthood-over-transgender-records\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. &#8220;This ruling sends a clear message: Missouri law supports transparency and the protection of our children\u2014and Planned Parenthood&#8217;s baseless objection only served to delay that accountability.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-pill-missouri-planned-parenthood\/\"><em>Missouri AG warns Planned Parenthood not to dispense abortion pill<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He continued, &#8220;This case is not just about documents\u2014it&#8217;s about exposing institutions that mislead families, conceal critical information, and prey on vulnerable children under the guise of &#8216;care.&#8217; My office is committed to uncovering the truth, holding bad actors accountable, and cutting through the noise and deception used to normalize irreversible procedures on minors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The investigation by the state stems from allegations that Planned Parenthood has trafficked minors across state lines for abortions without notifying parents or guardians in violation of Missouri&#8217;s parental consent laws. A 2024 undercover <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kttn.com\/planned-parenthood-must-turn-over-records-court-rules-in-favor-of-missouri-attorney-general\/#google_vignette\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video<\/a> produced by Project Veritas purports to show the Managing Director of Planned Parenthood in Kansas City, Missouri, explaining to a man how to get a 13-year-old an abortion out of state without her parents finding out:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BO61optFSXw?si=FKBCRge44zFXksvY\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Asked by the investigator how many times this specific Planned Parenthood facility helps girls travel between states for abortions in a year, Lashauna claims, \u201cOh. Every day. Every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She adds, \u201cWe can set up hotels for them. We set up every day. Every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cIn Planned Parenthood, we consider you [a 13-year-old child] an adult\u2026You can make the decision, then we got you. We never tell the parents anything, she\u2019s an adult in our clinics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is in direct defiance of state law, which says a 13-year-old cannot consent to sex or abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey said that the court&#8217;s ruling will not change existing protections for private health information and that those rules will be enforced during the ongoing investigation into Planned Parenthood&#8217;s treatment of minors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today\u2019s decision brings us one step closer to making Missouri the safest state in the nation for children and families,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We will continue to pursue justice, demand transparency, and ensure that no provider or clinic escapes scrutiny.
