Singer Olivia Rodrigo has\u00a0announced<\/a> that she is donating over $2 million from the net proceeds of her ticket sales from her Guts World Tour to charities around the world that support ‘women’s health.’ The money will support abortion, and will be donated through Rodrigo’s own pro-abortion fund<\/a>, known as “Fund 4 Good,” created in 2024.<\/p>\n

Ten organizations stand to benefit from the large donation, including Women’s Shelters in Canada, Women Against Violence in Europe, The Pratthanadee Foundation in Thailand, the Korea Foundation for Women and Harmony House Limited in Hong Kong, NPO Women’s Saya-Saya in Japan, Aidha in Singapore, as well as Jhpiego<\/a> in the Philippines and Wesnet<\/a> in Australia, which both have shown support for abortion.<\/p>\n

But one organization on Rodrigo’s list to receive money is directly<\/em> helping to fund abortions: The National Network of Abortion Funds. This organization states on its website that it is “building power toward a common goal: abortion access for all.”<\/p>\n

“NNAF is a network of nearly 100 abortion funds. Abortion funds are grassroots organizations that support people seeking abortion access,” states the site. “Together, we’re organizing at the crossroads of racial, economic, and reproductive justice.”<\/p>\n

The organization promotes DIY, at-home abortions using the abortion pill regimen. This protocol is described on NNAF’s website as meaning that “[women] don’t get in-person or telehealth support from a doctor or clinic.” Unfortunately, this leaves women with no other recourse but a hospital emergency room or urgent care if she experiences abortion pill-related complications<\/a>.<\/p>\n
