Curtis Boyd, who previously owned late-term abortion facilities in Texas and New Mexico, has been operating the Presidential Women’s Center abortion facility located in Palm Beach County Florida, along with his wife Glenna Halvorsen-Boyd.<\/p>\n

Boyd once admitted<\/a> to WFAA News that he knows he is “killing\u201d people, but recently<\/a> described his deadly work as “utter exhilaration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the abortionist who purchased Boyd’s Southwestern Women\u2019s Options (SWO) New Mexico facility has begun to commit late-term abortions.<\/p>\n

In 2023, months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned\u00a0Roe v. Wade<\/em>\u00a0in the\u00a0Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em> decision, and after settling a lawsuit regarding the death of a patient, Boyd closed<\/a> his Southwestern Women\u2019s Surgery Center abortion facility in Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Less than a year later, Boyd stopped committing abortions in the third trimester<\/a> and eventually sold<\/a> SWO in Albuquerque, which had operated since 1985<\/a>\u00a0under the corporation name<\/a> Curtis W. Boyd MD, PC.<\/p>\n

The change of ownership<\/a> in March of 2024 appeared to end the reign of late-term abortions in the state until recently,<\/p>\n

The SWO clinic is now owned<\/a> by abortionist Alan Braid<\/a>, according to state records. Its website reveals that Braid is willing to end the lives of preborn babies up to 32 weeks gestation<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Boyd has continued his abortion business in Florida.<\/p>\n

A report from the Palm Beach Post<\/a> revealed that Curtis, along with his wife Glenna Halvorsen-Boyd, purchased the Presidential Women\u2019s Center in West Palm Beach from founder Mona Reis in 2021.<\/p>\n

The abortion facility, which had operated in the state for decades, previously employed<\/a> abortionist Michael Benjamin. The State Medical Board once disciplined Benjamin after he failed to report the child sexual abuse of a patient taken to his OB\/GYN office for an abortion.<\/p>\n

A March 2021 report<\/a> uploaded by the Florida Secretary Of State<\/a> (SOS) listed “Boyd Family Management, LLC” under the name Presidential Women’s Center, LP.<\/p>\n

A separate online document<\/a> showed that “Boyd Family Management, LLC” was registered in Norman, Oklahoma in 2012.<\/p>\n

Around the time when Boyd purchased the Florida abortion facility, the State of Texas, where Boyd was also committing abortions at that time, was implementing the Texas Heartbeat Act, which prohibits abortions on preborn babies when a heartbeat is detectable.<\/p>\n

In September of 2021, a Florida lawmaker filed<\/a> a heartbeat act similar to Texas’. Florida was eventually successful in passing its version of the heartbeat act, which took effect<\/a> on May 1, 2024 following a legal challenge.<\/p>\n

In August of 2024, an inspection report<\/a> by the state revealed<\/a> “deficiencies” at Curtis Boyd’s facility related to a violation of the newly enacted Florida law, which was eventually “corrected<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

In 2021, the year the clinic changed hands, the state’s license<\/a> for the facility listed Dr. Daniel N. Sacks as the clinic’s medical director. However, the image below from Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration (ACHA) website<\/a> shows Curtis Wayne Boyd as the “administrator” and “financial officer” since April of 2021.<\/p>\n

The Presidential Women’s Center at one time offered abortions for any reason later into the second trimester of pregnancy. Since the Florida Heartbeat Protection Act went into effect, however, the facility’s website<\/a> has specified that “Presidential Women\u2019s Center will continue to provide abortion care to the legal limit – 6 weeks. There are exceptions for women with fatal fetal anomalies and victims of rape, incest, or human trafficking.”<\/p>\n

Despite those exceptions, Boyd’s Florida abortion facility is likely focused on selling the abortion pill, for now.<\/p>\n

Undercover audio<\/a> released by Created Equal allegedly from the Presidential Women\u2019s Center revealed how abortion facility staff was willing to offer “financial assistance” as well as “transportation and lodging” to clients so they could travel to abortion facilities in other states.<\/p>\n

Boyd and abortion-related deaths<\/strong><\/p>\n

In their memoir, \u201cWe Choose To,\u201d the Boyds discussed<\/a> the abortion-related deaths of two of their patients.<\/p>\n

One of those patients was Keisha Atkins whose wrongful death lawsuit, brought by attorney Mike Seibel, proved Boyd and his New Mexico staff were responsible<\/a>\u00a0for Atkins\u2019 death.<\/p>\n

The late-term abortionist acknowledged the impact that the lawsuit had on him, writing that \u201can anti-abortion attorney persuaded the patient\u2019s mother to sue, and that suit attracted further adverse attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Boyd’s words, the Atkins lawsuit inflicted an “emotional toll on our doctors and staff…greater than I can calculate.”<\/p>\n
