A recent expos\u00e9<\/a> by the American Life League reveals that the Salvation Army, an organization known for its charitable works, supports aborting preborn babies with life-limiting diagnoses, as well as those conceived in rape.<\/p>\n

The American Life League Charity Watchlist notes that while the Salvation Army has a detailed statement<\/a> on its website in which it appears to denounce abortion, the statement includes a large number of instances in which it would justify the killing of preborn children. For instance, it notes there are “tragic and perplexing circumstances that require difficult decisions regarding a pregnancy,” and explains:<\/p>\n

The Salvation Army believes that termination can occur only when carrying the pregnancy further seriously threatens the life of the mother; or reliable diagnostic procedures have identified a foetal abnormality considered incompatible with survival for more than a very brief post natal period.<\/em><\/p>\n

The statement goes on: “In addition, rape and incest are brutal acts of dominance violating women physically and emotionally. This situation represents a special case for the consideration of termination as the violation may be compounded by the continuation of the pregnancy.”<\/p>\n
