{"id":321400,"date":"2024-11-09T09:01:50","date_gmt":"2024-11-09T15:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=321400"},"modified":"2024-11-08T17:07:45","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T23:07:45","slug":"illinois-planned-parenthood-calls-911-tries-cancel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/illinois-planned-parenthood-calls-911-tries-cancel\/","title":{"rendered":"Illinois Planned Parenthood calls 911 for injured woman, then tries to cancel ambulance"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>A Planned Parenthood facility in Flossmoor, Illinois, on the outskirts of Chicago, called 911 last month requesting an ambulance take an injured patient to the emergency room&#8230; and then seemingly tried to cover it up.<\/p>\n<p>Operation Rescue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.operationrescue.org\/archives\/planned-parenthood-flossmoor-strikes-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that the incident took place on October 15, 2024. At first, the 911 call seems to proceed as usual, with the staffer giving vague information and requesting an ambulance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We need an ambulance for transfer, we have a patient who is bleeding pretty heavily,&#8221; the staffer began. &#8220;Doctor has attempted several&#8230; um&#8230; bleeding precautions.&#8221; She said the patient was a 31-year-old woman who was conscious and coming off of sedation, breathing normally, and with stable vital signs. They did not say if she was experiencing any pain.<\/p>\n<p>Oddly, the staffer then attempted to cancel the ambulance request, only to be rebuffed by the 911 dispatcher.<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"rumble\" src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embed\/v5kng65\/?pub=4\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m sorry, it seems that she is stabilizing the patient, so I think she is going to want to just have monitor for now,&#8221; the staffer said.<\/p>\n<p>The dispatcher responded, &#8220;We&#8217;ve already sent out the paramedics, so they&#8217;re still going to head over there. But if, you know, the doctor speaks with them and they decide she doesn&#8217;t need to be transported, they can make that decision amongst themselves.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is not known what happened next. The computer-aided dispatch report, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/abortiondocs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-10-15-PP-Flossmoor_call-detail-report.cleaned.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indicated<\/a> that staff may have prevented the paramedics from evaluating the patient; under comments, it says &#8220;no checks&#8221; and &#8220;refusal signed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That raises more questions: was the woman actually stabilized on-site, or did Planned Parenthood staffers merely send her to the hospital in a private vehicle to avoid leaving a record of the severity of the injury? And because there is virtually <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/seven-facts-abortion-industry-unaccountable-illinois\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no accountability<\/a> in place for the abortion industry in Illinois, we are not likely to ever know.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/two-women-injured-days-illinois-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Numerous women<\/a> have been <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/illinois-planned-parenthood-calls-911-twice-bleeding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">injured<\/a> at this facility, including <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-illinois-injures-women-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">two women in less than two weeks<\/a> last year.
