Back in October 2023, Claire Brennan of Northern Ireland was praying outside Causeway Hospital in Coleraine when she was arrested for being inside the building\u2019s buffer zone. Now, she\u2019s fighting the charges in court.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Peacefully praying the rosary, the Lord\u2019s Prayer, and displaying a few signs depicting a pro-life message such as, \u201cPray to End Abortion,\u201d Brennan and her associate David Hall were <\/span>approached by two police officers<\/span><\/a>. The officers asked them to move out of the buffer zone and warned them they may be arrested if they did not comply. In the video, one officer accuses Brennan and Hall of “harassing people \u2014 we’re getting phone calls \u2014 you’re intimidating people by being here who don’t agree with your point of view…”<\/span><\/p>\n

B<\/span>rennan responded repeatedly, \u201c<\/span>I have a duty to uphold God\u2019s law. This is where we pray\u2026 We are not committing any offenses\u2026 We pray for the babies who will be imminently killed in this hospital.\u201d After more discussion \u2014 during which Brennan was accused of being “stubborn,” “ignorant,” and a law-breaker \u2014 Brennan and Hall were arrested \u201cwithout a police interview,\u201d according to <\/span>Christian Concern<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
