The new curriculum will include Live Action&#8217;s prenatal development video, &#8220;Meet Baby Olivia.&#8221; According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wjhl.com\/news\/local\/johnson-city-boe-gives-final-ok-on-family-life-curriculum-that-includes-meet-baby-olivia-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News Channel 11<\/a>, the curriculum was unanimously approved during the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Superintendent Steve Barnett told News Channel 11 that the updated curriculum follows the requirements of a new law <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/baby-olivia-bill-tennessee-governor-prenatal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed<\/a> last month by Governor Bill Lee. The &#8220;Baby Olivia&#8221; Act requires that either an animated video or ultrasound video be shown during family life classes, and the &#8220;Meet Baby Olivia&#8221; video was included in Science Hill High School&#8217;s family life curriculum. It is set to be implemented in the next school year.<\/p>\n<p>Though the &#8220;Baby Olivia&#8221; video has received <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/baby-olivia-medically-accurate-fetal-development-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pushback<\/a> from pro-abortion media outlets and organizations, it was created with and endorsed by a panel of medical professionals, including experts in embryonic and fetal development \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcw.edu\/departments\/cell-biology-neurobiology-and-anatomy\/people\/faculty\">Dr. David Bolender<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/team-member\/donna-harrison\/\">Dr. Donna Harrison<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/team-member\/tara-sander-lee-ph-d\/\">Dr. Tara Sander Lee<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/team-member\/katrina-furth\/\">Dr. Katrina Furth<\/a>;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/author\/michelle-cretella\/\">Michelle Cretella, MD<\/a>; and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cmda.org\/jeffrey-barrows-do-ma-ethics-2\/\">Jeffrey Barrows, DO, MA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Information from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehd.org\/about-us.php\">Endowment for Human Development<\/a>, a self-described &#8220;nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health science education and public health&#8221; was used in the creation of &#8220;Baby Olivia.&#8221; U.S. science educators have endorsed EHD&#8217;s own award-winning content, a human development DVD featuring milestones similar to &#8220;Olivia,&#8221; which is distributed by National Geographic. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehd.org\/about-us.php\">EHD<\/a>\u00a0is \u201c\u200b\u200bcommitted to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehd.org\/overview_neutrality.php\">neutrality<\/a> regarding all controversial bioethical issues&#8217; and states that its \u201cboard of directors, board of advisors, staff, and volunteers includes accomplished educators, researchers, authors, programmers, and clinicians from a variety of scientific and business disciplines who share the common goal of improving lifelong health through prenatal development-based education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/actnow.io\/ARQQhk1\"><b><i>The DOJ put a pro-life grandmother in jail for protesting the killing of preborn children.
