All the prayers you guys have prayed, we have felt them. &#8230; The power of prayer is so real. &#8230; This season obviously is the most tragic thing that we&#8217;ve ever had to go through as a family. &#8230; God has met us in this place between pain and peace.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added, &#8220;This season, I have learned so much about pain with purpose. Losing Indy was very hard and then right after losing her, my health declined a lot and nobody could figure out what was wrong. And it was a very hard season for all of us to navigate. But I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve ever surrendered this way to God in my life. &#8230; Indy&#8217;s little life has transformed us completely. Our family has never been stronger. My faith has never been strong. My marriage has never been stronger. Carlos spoke about how difficult it was for him as a husband and father to watch his wife deal with medical issues while dealing with the grief over losing Indy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think as a husband and as the leader of the household, you know, I had to kind of remain strong for the family. And I definitely had some weak moments there,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>After Alexa reassured her husband that he is &#8220;not weak,&#8221; he said that he had &#8220;some very emotional moments,&#8221; adding, &#8220;I think I normally don&#8217;t allow myself to go there. And because I did, it actually brought us a lot closer. And, you know, grieving is OK. Like, you know, I think as men we try and stay tough.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said a moment in the healing process came when his wife and a friend called and left him a voicemail of them singing a worship song. &#8220;And just listening to the words \u2026 somebody would sit there for five minutes and sing this song for me. And I was literally, like, weeping, and I&#8217;ll never forget that moment,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added, &#8220;It&#8217;s hard to love people. Sometimes it&#8217;s hard to love God. I guess it&#8217;s like, why, why, why? But when can you just let go and just sit there and surrender and let the Holy Spirit take over and just let it \u2026 that moment for me will always, always be there forever. So it&#8217;s OK to let go and let God.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Alexa agreed that it is God who is helping them get through. &#8220;I don&#8217;t know how people do it without God because we can&#8217;t explain it other than it was like supernatural peace that didn&#8217;t make sense,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It doesn&#8217;t make sense. It&#8217;s beyond understanding. Because after it all happened, obviously we were devastated. It was heartbreaking. And yet we felt like God was just telling us, &#8216;Hey, I am so sorry you had to go through this, but I am here for you, and I&#8217;m going to make a way for you.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added, &#8220;Just because the enemy throws fiery arrows at you doesn&#8217;t mean that God isn&#8217;t going to make a way. Like those arrows are still going to come at you, but he&#8217;s going to provide shelter. He&#8217;s going to help you with some shields. He&#8217;s going to get you through the seasons. And He got us through that season.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In November 2023, the couple shared they were expecting their fourth child, Indy. They were already parents to sons Ocean and Kingston, and daughter Rio. Tragically, on April 15, 2024, the couple announced the heartbreaking loss of baby Indy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t understand why things like this happen and we may never get those answers. Indy Rex PenaVega, you completely changed our world. You moved us to a new place.
