A bill preventing Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses from receiving Medicaid reimbursements was passed in the Missouri House this week<\/a>, now needing only a signature from Governor Mike Parson to become law.<\/p>\n

House Bill 2634<\/a> was passed by the Senate earlier this month in a 23-10 vote, though Democrats attempted to block the bill in an 11-hour filibuster. The House followed suit in a 106-48 vote<\/a>. \u201cThis is not health care,\u201d Rep. Mazzie Christensen said. \u201cThese facilities should not be in our state and I\u2019m sick and tired of hearing about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood has tried to claim that the bill will deprive Missourians of much-needed health care, but their latest annual report<\/a> revealed that the abortion giant has, yet again, seen legitimate health care services decrease, while abortions increase. Contraceptive services, prenatal care, cancer screenings, preventive care visits, adoption referrals, and client numbers have all plummeted over the years, including in the most recent annual report.<\/p>\n
