A pair of long lost sisters, each without knowledge of the existence of the other, puts in vitro fertilization (IVF) at the center of a love story in “Someone Like You,” a movie based <\/span>on the popular novel by #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury. The film follows a young man after<\/span> the tragic loss of his best friend, as he searches for her secret sister.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>trailer<\/span><\/a> for “<\/span>Someone Like You”<\/span> reveals that one of the pivotal characters, London, “was an in vitro baby,” with her parents stating that “The procedure gave us two embryos.\u201d This means that London had a sibling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Embryos are rightly humanized throughout the film, visualizing London\u2019s father grappling with the fact there there was another full human involved in the IVF process, and London\u2019s mother being sure of it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
