Pro-life watchdog group Operation Rescue<\/a> has learned that a woman was injured at a Michigan abortion facility in August 2023, yet the Planned Parenthood where she was hurt tried to hide the injury.<\/p>\n

On August 30, 2023, an employee at Planned Parenthood in Flint, Michigan, called a private ambulance service, rather than 911, after a 32-year-old patient was in and out of consciousness during her procedure. According to the computer-aided-dispatch<\/a> (CAD), the caller requested that the ambulance turn off its lights and sirens before arriving, and to go to the back door. This is a common request from abortion facilities who don’t want to draw attention to the fact that an injury has occurred within their walls. However, it also slows down emergency responders, which can further put the injured woman at risk as she is delayed in getting the medical attention she needs.<\/p>\n

According to Operation Rescue, the woman was transported to a nearby hospital about half an hour after the emergency call. There is no more information as to her injury or condition.<\/p>\n

Operation Rescue conducted a survey in 2023 showing that this Planned Parenthood facility conducts surgical abortions through 16 weeks, as well as chemical, and mail-order chemical abortions. Surgical abortions like the dilation and curettage (D&C) and dilation and evacuation (D&E) procedures come with a variety of risk factors, with complications including injuries to the uterus or cervix, hemorrhage, infection, and even death. In January, an Australian wife and mother died<\/a> after a first-trimester surgical abortion procedure.<\/span><\/p>\n
