Anthony Pro-Life America<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SBA), <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/concernedwomen.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (CWALAC), and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.studentsforlifeaction.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students for Life Action<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (SFLA) were joined by congressional representatives Chip Roy (R-Texas), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Bob Good (R-Va.), Pat Fallon (R-Texas), Chris Smith (R-N.J.), and Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) at a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PAAUNOW\/status\/1757786991306141821?s=20\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">press conference<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Washington, D.C. The press conference discussed the current status of, and reasons for, organized efforts to secure justice for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/justice-five-facts-discovery-aborted-babies-dc\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">five children<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aborted at advanced gestational ages who were <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/five-babies-killed-dc-abortionist\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recovered<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/appeals-court-denies-handy\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lauren Handy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/anti-abortion-activists-arrested-seeking-justice-five\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Terrisa Bukovinac<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> outside the Washington Surgi-Clinic in March of 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/infant-bodies-infanticide-attempted-abortions\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">medical experts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the bodies of these five babies \u2013 given the names <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/baby-christopher-died-killer-protected\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Christopher X<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/baby-harriet-body-medical-waste\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Harriet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/tragedy-baby-angels-limbs-torn-abortion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Angel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/holly-body-drained-blood-dismembered\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Holly<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/what-happened-phoenix-police-refuse-investigate\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phoenix<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the activists who found them \u2013 may present evidence that federal crimes have been committed by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NxOWyumLufA&amp;t=273s\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cesare Santangelo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the abortionist who killed them. However, D.C. authorities have <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/police-investigating-dc-abortionist\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">neglected<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to investigate the babies\u2019 deaths, choosing instead to investigate the activists who brought the children\u2019s brutal murders to the attention of the public.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">DC5 Congressional Press Conference <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/R1C1IrC85N\">https:\/\/t.co\/R1C1IrC85N<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; PAAU (@PAAUNOW) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PAAUNOW\/status\/1757786991306141821?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 14, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier this month, the Department of Justice (DOJ) reportedly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/doj-dc-medical-examiner-discard-aborted-babies\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ordered<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the D.C. Medical Examiner to destroy the babies\u2019 bodies. This launched a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/35-pro-life-groups-destruction-aborted-babies\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">coalition effort<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to protect the bodies of the children, often referred to as &#8220;the D.C. Five.\u201d This effort has been successful \u2013 at least for now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Representative Chip Roy was the first to speak at this morning\u2019s press conference. He emphasized that \u201cwe have laws on the books\u201d which prohibit \u201cbarbaric practices\u201d like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-abortionist-admits-she-dismembered-and-killed-born-alive-babies\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dilation and extraction<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (D&amp;X), also known as \u201cpartial-birth abortion,\u201d and infanticide. The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/108th-congress\/senate-bill\/3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of 2003 declared D&amp;X procedures to be a federal crime, while the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/107th-congress\/house-bill\/2175\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Born-Alive Infants Protection Act<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of 2002 was designed to protect abortion survivors from infanticide. Medical experts have <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/expert-analysis-dc-babies-partial-birth-abortion\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">suggested<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that some of the D.C. five may have been killed by D&amp;X procedures, while others might have been <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/infant-bodies-infanticide-attempted-abortions\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">born alive and left to die<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> without medical care.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe D.C. Five abortion case is horrifying, period,\u201d said Representative Andy Biggs, who was next to speak. \u201cWe must discover what happened and hold those individuals accountable,\u201d he urged, adding, \u201cThe DOJ&#8217;s effort to dispose of these bodies without conducting an investigation is simply malpractice, and it is wrong.\u2026 We need hearings. We need proper burial for these children. We need to respect their lives.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Representative Bob Good was next to speak. \u201cThe very law enforcement tasked with protecting the most vulnerable in our society has become complicit in covering up the cold-blooded murder of these precious lives,\u201d he said. \u201cWe&#8217;re calling for transparency [about] how these babies were killed. The American people should know that federal law was broken right here in Washington, D.C. in these tragic cases.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Representative Pat Fallon, who spoke next, noted: \u201cWe\u2019re here to stick up for those who don\u2019t have a voice. \u2026 Soon after the discovery of the remains, congressional Republicans in 2022 cried out and demanded autopsies and an investigation. Fast forward: no autopsies, no investigation. You have to ask yourself, why? Are we a country that has a rule of law or not? Does the Justice Department actually dispense justice?\u201d He added, \u201cThese are murders\u2026. And yet, nothing\u2019s been done&#8230;. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s high time Congress conducts its own investigation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Representative Chris Smith reminded his audience of the case of notorious abortionist and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/victims-abortionist-gosnell-forgotten\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">convicted murderer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/eugenics-allowed-house-of-horrors-facility-to-go-uninspected-for-decades\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kermit Gosnell<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. \u201cThere are Kermit Gosnells all over America \u2013 predators, child abusers, exploiters of women,\u201d he said. \u201cWill Americans ever be told the horrifying details as to how, and how often, abortionists dismember, decapitate, and chemically poison innocent babies?\u201d he asked. \u201cDon\u2019t destroy the evidence. No cover-ups. We demand justice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Terrisa Bukovinac described finding the D.C. Five as \u201cthe most viscerally heartbreaking experience that I have ever had.\u201d She described public awareness of the horrors these babies experienced as having \u201cso much power that it can change the course of history forever,\u201d just as images of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/slavery-genocide-abortion-worst-human-rights-injustices-time\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emmett Till<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> once shocked our nation into demanding equal civil rights for Black Americans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Penny Nance, President and CEO of CWALAC, described the cause of justice for the D.C. five as both \u201ca left and right issue.\u201d \u201cIf you believe in human rights,\u201d she said, \u201cyou need to understand what happened and stand with us today.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speakers also included Rep.
