Fulks said Biden is focused on ensuring states are once again forced to legalize abortion, as they were under <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/01\/07\/biden-priority-second-term-abortion-rights-00134204\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>, host Kristen Welker asked Fulks, &#8220;What would, on day one, President Biden&#8217;s top priority be?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fulks replied, &#8220;Well, look. The president announced this campaign with the moniker of &#8216;finish the job&#8217; and protect freedom and democracy. So when we talk about that, let&#8217;s look at it. First of all: Roe. The president has been adamant that we need to restore Roe. It is unfathomable that women today wake up in a country with less rights than their ancestors had years ago.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5aDYu0FhPAc?si=jqJ38j8obB7d4jRO\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fulks added, &#8220;Look, the president understands that this election isn&#8217;t about him: it&#8217;s about the American people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fulks&#8217; comments are confirmation of what President Biden has already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/09\/23\/biden-promises-to-codify-roe-if-two-more-democrats-are-elected-to-the-senate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proclaimed<\/a> numerous times in the past. In October 2022, at Howard Theatre, he <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/abortion-2022-midterm-elections-biden-health-congress-f3ffadd1d55625a4af7b87f6b691fbbc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vowed<\/a> that the first bill he would send to Capitol Hill the following year \u2014 after midterm elections \u2014 would be one that makes abortion-on-demand legal again throughout the nation, but only if there were enough pro-abortion legislators in Congress to pass such a bill. He urged Americans to vote for such pro-abortion politicans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we do that, here\u2019s the promise I make to you and the American people: The first bill that I will send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade,\u201d Biden said. \u201cAnd when Congress passes it, I\u2019ll sign it in January, 50 years after Roe was first decided the law of the land.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That plan did not come to fruition and Biden has received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/healthcare\/biden-has-not-codified-roe-v-wade-abortion-executive-orders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">criticism<\/a> for failing to ensure abortion on demand.
