Baby boy Seven Morris was born at 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2023 weighing six pounds and nine ounces. His sister Souli Morris, was born three minutes later at 12:02 a.m. on January 1, 2024 also weighing six pound and nine ounces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" 2023 as YNHH only records births to the minute, not seconds,&#8221; a hospital representative said. The babies and their mother are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox61.com\/article\/news\/local\/new-haven-county\/new-haven\/twins-born-yale-new-haven-hospital-different-years-2023-2024\/520-39990bb7-6069-45ee-bf64-3241642df031\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reportedly<\/a> &#8220;doing great and getting some well-deserved rest,&#8221; according to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Seven and Souli weren&#8217;t the only twins to have such unique birthdays, however.<\/p>\n<p>In New Jersey, twin brothers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/twins-born-at-virtua-vorhees-hospital-birthdays-new-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ezra and Ezekiel Humphrey<\/a> were born at Virtua Voorhees Hospital. Ezra was born at 11:48 p.m. on December 31, and Ezekiel was born at 12:28 a.m. on January 1 to Billy and Even Humphrey. To add the to the fun, Billy&#8217;s birthday is also December 31.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it&#8217;s going to be hard for them to convince people. They&#8217;re going to ask when&#8217;s your birthday. One&#8217;s going to say December. One&#8217;s going to say January,&#8221; Eve Humphrey said. &#8220;Then, they&#8217;re going to say, &#8216;We&#8217;re twins,&#8217; and people are going to say, &#8216;You&#8217;re lying.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Last year, a Texas family <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wionews.com\/trending\/new-jersey-and-connecticut-welcome-two-sets-of-twins-born-a-year-apart-675794\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">welcomed<\/a> twin girl Annie Jo and Effie Rose in two different years as well. Annie Jo was born at 11:55 p.m on December 31, 2022 while her sister Effie Rose was born on January 1, 2023. Both weighed five pounds and five ounces.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/fastats\/multiple.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>, over 120,000 twin births occur each year in the United States, accounting for 3% of all births in the nation. In 2021, there were 114,161 twin births in the U.S. Between 1980 and 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/244913\/twin-birth-rates-in-the-united-states-by-ethnicity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rose<\/a> from 18.9 twin births per 1,000 births to 31.2 likely due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/ivf-selective-reduction-creating-babies-kill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">increased use<\/a> of fertility treatments.
