Already a mom of two, Sarah didn&#8217;t feel that the timing was great for her to be having another baby. She <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heartbeatinternational.org\/sara-v-apr-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Heartbeat International that the father of the baby told her he didn\u2019t want the child, so she made the decision to take the abortion pill. Yet she immediately regreted it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sarah\u2019s mind began to waver after she took the first drug of the abortion pill regimen, mifepristone, which works to deprive the developing child of nutrients by blocking the natural pregnancy hormone, progesterone. Sarah said she \u201cimmediately started crying.\u201d Then, when she called the father of the child, he admitted to hoping that she would keep the baby. Sarah began searching to see if there was any way to possibly reverse the abortion pill and keep her child safe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"vimeo-player\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/867342614?h=2a318ff680\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cabortion pill\u201d is a common name for a set of two drugs: mifepristone and misoprostol<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Mifepristone is taken first. Since it blocks the naturally occuring pregnancy hormone progesterone, administering progesterone to a woman after she takes mifepristone has enabled women to reverse its effects and potentially save their children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gnEHZiud8dg?si=jTAn7hPkZA4v9IhH\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sarah found the <a href=\"https:\/\/abortionpillreversal.com\/abortion-pill-reversal\/overview\">Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) hotline<\/a>\u00a0and within 15 minutes was able to get the progestrone she needed to take.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She later had an ultrasound at a local pregnancy resource center that confirmed her baby was still alive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAnd I just felt so much hope that I could make it right,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd that was exactly what I needed in that moment because I was just feeling so regretful.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To all the women in a similar situation to hers, Sarah explained, \u201cIf there\u2019s a part of you that\u2019s saying \u2018this isn\u2019t the right thing to do,\u2019 listen to that part so you don\u2019t end up regretting it.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sarah\u2019s healthy baby boy James was born in June of 2020.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She said, \u201cHe was the piece I never knew was missing and I can\u2019t imagine life without him.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sarah and her boyfriend had recently broken up when Sarah found out she was pregnant.
