Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Leo Chenal has chosen<\/a> Live Action as his charity for the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign. He said he chose to feature Live Action on his cleats in an upcoming game because he believes every human life is valuable and feels it’s important to help mothers and children thrive.<\/p>\n

The NFL explained<\/a> that My Cause My Cleats allows players to “reveal their passions beyond the game and wear their hearts on their feet.” Players can choose the cause that is important to them and then respresent the organization on custom designed cleats. The players work with shoe companies and artists to design the hand-painted cleats, which will be worn during weeks 13 and 14 of the season.<\/p>\n

“I believe all human life should be valued and I want to work towards helping mothers that are considering abortion,” said Chenal. “I believe it’s not only important to value every life before birth, but to provide the mothers and children the tools it will take to thrive going forward.”<\/p>\n

Chenal, who is a Catholic husband<\/a> and father, will wear the Live Action cleats in a December 10 game against the Buffalo Bills at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Seventeen of his teammates will also being wearing unique cleats that day representing charities of their choice.<\/p>\n

Previously, Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Jacob Hollister chose<\/a> Live Action as his charity of choice for My Cause My Cleats 2021.<\/p>\n

Last year, following the Chiefs win at the Super Bowl, NFL rookie Chenal and his teammates visited<\/a> the White House where Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker, another Catholic and pro-life NFL player, wore a one-of-a-kind tie made specifically for him in collaboration with Live Action. The tie was embroidered with the words “Protect the Most Vulnerable” in Latin.<\/p>\n

Butker paired the tie \u2014 a version of which is available here<\/a> \u2014 with a gold pin<\/a> created with a reference photo to be the exact size of a 10-week-old preborn baby\u2019s feet.<\/p>\n
