Abortion pill conglomerate Abortion Telemedicine<\/a> claims to use the ‘honor system’ to verify the location of their clients before dispensing the drug regimen by mail. As such, they may be assisting in violating state laws that prohibit abortion or the mailing of the abortion pill into specific states. In addition, the conglomerate potentially risks being in violation of the federal Comstock Act<\/a>, which\u00a0prohibits<\/a>\u00a0mailing \u201cany article, instrument, substance, drug, medicine, or thing [that] may, or can, be used or applied for producing abortion[.]\u201d<\/p>\n

Founded in 2022, the Florida based<\/a> Abortion Telemedicine is registered in the state as “AB TEL MED LLC” and currently claims<\/a> to “offer abortion pills online in 20 states for only $145.” As is typical of multiple unregulated abortion pill dispensaries, the website<\/a> does not disclose a business address or location; however, State Division of Corporation<\/a> records reveal the organization’s registered agent address<\/a> as 618 E South St, STE 500 Orlando, FL, 32801.<\/p>\n
