Contained within was the letter from her adoptive mother, written to her birth mother, when Amy was 18 years old. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;This letter from my mom to my birth mother&#8230; I am a MESS,&#8221; Amy wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Just found an envelope of my adoption documents, much of which I\u2019d never seen before. This letter from my mom to my birth mother\u2026 I am a MESS. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/T0OQ8g5OLW\">pic.twitter.com\/T0OQ8g5OLW<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Amy \ud83d\udc08\u200d\u2b1b (@AmyL_IoM) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AmyL_IoM\/status\/1687761545281880064?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 5, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAmy approaches her 19th birthday,\u201d the letter begins. \u201cShe \u2026 has grown into a beautiful, colourful, and talented young woman. \u2026 Should she ever make the decision to seek you,\u201d the letter continues, \u201cI want you to know that I have thought of you often over these 19 years and offered many prayers for you, wishing I could communicate the joy she has been to us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 2057px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"css-9pa8cd\" draggable=\"true\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/F2wiK_pWgAEUOQc?format=jpg&amp;name=large\" alt=\"Image\" width=\"2047\" height=\"1172\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo via Twitter\/X<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amy\u2019s adoptive parents were unable to have children of their own, and first adopted Amy\u2019s older brother, Tim. \u201cWhen he was nearly 3 years old,\u201d the letter continues, \u201cwe received the gift of your beautiful baby girl.\u201d Amy\u2019s mother went on to write:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I will always be aware of the pain you will have experienced at the separation from your baby and the enormously unselfish decision you made to have her adopted. There will always be deep gratitude to you for she has given [us] unbelievable pride and joy. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have nurtured her with all the love and care we were able to, offering her every advantage available to us. She will always be very precious to us, and she will always hold a very special place in our hearts.<\/span><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI think we are all dying to know if you have ever met your birth mother?\u201d one <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jocelyn12447661\/status\/1687910260885843969\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reply<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to Amy\u2019s tweet stated. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI did,\u201d Amy <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AmyL_IoM\/status\/1687910392176037888\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">responded<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. \u201cAnd my younger half brothers!
