Guess what he did with it."},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>A New York man has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kktv.com\/2023\/07\/06\/man-accused-drugging-pregnant-woman-causing-miscarriage\/?utm_source=taboola&amp;utm_medium=organicclicks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arrested<\/a> for allegedly slipping a pregnant woman the abortion pill, causing the death of her baby.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=594104976170592&amp;set=pb.100067132854304.-2207520000.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rensselaer County Sheriff<\/a>&#8216;s office, Dia Beshara, 39, of Schaghticoke is facing a second-degree assault charge and has been released. His victim has filed a restraining order against him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On July 3, 2023, the Rensselaer County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested Dia A. Beshara, a 39-year-old resident of Schaghticoke,&#8221; said the Sheriff&#8217;s Office on Facebook. &#8220;Beshara was charged with Assault in the Second Degree at the conclusion of a 15-month investigation. The investigation began when the female victim reported that, while she was pregnant, Beshara gave her a drug, Mifepristone, without her knowledge, causing a miscarriage. Beshara was arraigned in Schaghticoke Town Court where he was released on his own recognizance with an order of protection in place.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Frenscosheriff%2Fposts%2Fpfbid02JKGAzSyrjtZbxYFc9XYKUM8zjQWs2FQWPc6tQuvVdzJcqAf93TNdLsXRx2nJggkCl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"724\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Mifepristone is the first of two drugs used in the abortion pill regimen. It acts to block the naturally-occurring pregnancy hormone progesterone, which works during the first weeks of pregnancy to sustain the developing preborn baby&#8217;s life. Progesterone also <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.marchofdimes.org\/complications\/progesterone-treatment-to-help-prevent-premature-birth.aspx#:~:text=Progesterone%20is%20a%20hormone.,it%20may%20lead%20to%20miscarriage.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prevents<\/a> muscle contractions in the uterus that would cause the woman&#8217;s body to reject the newly-created life.<\/p>\n<p>The abortion pill previously had REMS [Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy] safety protocols in place which required women to be examined prior to being given the abortion pill and take mifepristone in person due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/obgyn-severe-complications-abortion-pill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complications<\/a> associated with it, including the deadly risks if taken with an ectopic pregnancy. But during the Covid-19 pandemic, the FDA relaxed the safety rules and allowed for mail distribution of the abortion pill temporarily. By December 2021, the Biden FDA had further <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/fda-permanently-loosens-abortion-pill-safety-measure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weakened<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/drugs\/drug-safety-and-availability\/risk-evaluation-and-mitigation-strategies-rems\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">REMS<\/a>\u00a0by eliminating the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/fda-removes-abortion-pill-safety-protocols-drug\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in-person dispensing requirement<\/a>\u00a0and enabling the abortion pill to be permanently\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/fda-permanently-loosens-abortion-pill-safety-measure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shipped by mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This opened the door for men, including Beshara, to give women the abortion pill without their knowledge. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theunchoice.com\/coerced.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Studies<\/a> show that 64% of women who have undergone abortions felt pressured to do so. That pressure can come from parents, boyfriends, employers, and friends.<\/p>\n<p>In April of 2022, Jeffery Smith was sentenced to 20 years in prison as part of a plea agreement after he was convicted of attempted first-degree intentional homicide of a preborn child who was 21 weeks old at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Jin Mimae was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortion-pill-man-arrested-tricking-girlfriend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arrested<\/a> in February 2021 for tricking his pregnant girlfriend into taking mifepristone. Upon his arrest, he told police, \u201cI didn\u2019t want to marry her,\u201d adding, \u201cBecause of the current economic conditions, I did not want to raise a child.\u201d He had ordered mifepristone online the same day his girlfriend had a positive pregnancy test and told her they were to treat an STD.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/easy-access-abortion-pill-coercion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">list<\/a> of such heinous acts goes on and the popularity of mail-order abortion pills is only <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/survey-abortion-facilities-lowest-pill-business-grows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rising<\/a>. The abortion pill has been found to be <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/study-abortion-pill-four-times-dangerous-surgical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">four times more dangerous<\/a> for women than a first-trimester surgical abortion. Risks include hemorrhaging, incomplete abortion, infection, and the need for a second, surgical abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, the Biden administration called the previous safety regulations on the abortion pill &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/white-house-access-abortion-pill-unacceptable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">just unacceptable<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A New York man has been arrested for allegedly slipping a pregnant woman the abortion pill, causing the death of her baby.
