Wade<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and to call for federal protection of all preborn children under the provisions of the 14th Amendment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speakers included Live Action Founder and President <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/media\/meet-lila-rose\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lila Rose<\/span><\/a>,<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lamborn.house.gov\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Congressman Doug Lamborn<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Colorado, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/crenshaw.house.gov\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Congressman Dan Crenshaw<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Texas, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/good.house.gov\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Congressman Bob Good<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Virginia, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alvedaking.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Alveda King<\/span><\/a>,<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Students for Life of America President<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/kristanhawkins.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kristan Hawkins<\/span><\/a>,<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> legal scholar and Live Action Legislative Strategist\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joshcraddock.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Josh Craddock<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Texas State Director and Human Coalition&#8217;s National Legislative Advisor <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.humancoalition.org\/bios\/chelsey-youman\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chelsey Youman<\/span><\/a>,<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0pro-life OB-GYN <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drruberu4life.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Monique Ruberu<\/span><\/a>,<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christinabennett.com\/\">Christina Bennett<\/a>, News Correspondent for Live Action<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lila Rose opened by emphasizing preborn children\u2019s right to equal protection under the 14th Amendment. \u201cNow it is the time to turn our attention as a movement to the new North Star, which is equal protection for all, as our Constitution promises,\u201d she stated. Rose praised the pro-life progress that has been made since the Supreme Court overturned <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roe v. Wade<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> one year ago, but emphasized that much work remains. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAbortion is unconstitutional, and it is time for federal and state law to reflect that,\u201d Rose said, adding: \u201cWe stand on the precipice of a new era, an era when the darkness of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roe v. Wade<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been vanquished by the light of truth and justice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fliveaction%2Fvideos%2F207640781773317%2F&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=560&amp;t=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"429\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Congressman Doug Lamborn, who introduced the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/house-members-introduce-resolution-to-ensure-equal-protection-for-preborn-humans\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recognizing Life Resolution<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the House in early June, praised the work of pro-life activists: <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make no mistake, our success is due to the continual and dedicated efforts of millions of grassroots activists all across the nation \u2026 who have given their time to educating the public and speaking up for the voiceless. They have endured threats, intimidation, denigration by the media, by their peers, and have even withstood violence \u2013 all for the unborn. I applaud every single person who has fought the good fight.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Congressman Dan Crenshaw emphasized the power of truth to the pro-life cause, and the lack of truth on the pro-abortion side. \u201cThe pro-life movement has been successful because it&#8217;s been about spreading truth. But more important than that, even, it&#8217;s been about spreading love\u2026. Hawkins stated:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let&#8217;s be honest today about what this word really means for us. Consensus on abortion is telling at-risk moms and beautiful innocent babies that they are not as valuable as the modern idols of convenience and control.\u2026 Consensus on abortion is accepting that the modern genocide is here to stay forever in our nation.\u2026 <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our history proves that we should never wait on finding consensus to protect the vulnerable and ensure human rights for all human beings\u2026. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">[T]he next chapter in the pro-life movement cannot start with consensus, but with the demand for equal protection of every human life under the 14th Amendment that has been the pro-life movement\u2019s North Star all along \u2013 and reality, it&#8217;s been our country&#8217;s north star from the very beginning[.]<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr. Alveda King opened her speech by singing the closing refrain of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">God Bless America<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. She then recalled: \u201cMy uncle once said, \u2018I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they not will not be judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character,\u2019\u201d adding:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the dream to be realized, we must start by understanding that there is a critical race. \u2026 It is the one blood human race from the womb to the tomb and beyond. So I stand with you this morning to wish you a belated Happy Father&#8217;s Day and Juneteenth, and to celebrate the incredible favor of God, which has paved the way to finally live in a nation where abortion is no longer the law of the land.
