This is why I am\u00a0<i>more passionate than ever<\/i>\u00a0to use my testimony to advocate for life by exposing the abortion industry\u2019s lies: It is \u201cgood for women,&#8221; is \u201chealthcare,\u201d and \u201cthat it\u2019s not a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I was a college freshman when I became pregnant. My boyfriend and I were panic-stricken\u2026 desperate for help and guidance.<\/p>\n<p>The nearby women\u2019s center failed to explore any options. It was \u201cassumed\u201d I should take care of it and get on with my life. A\u00a0<em>non-medical <\/em>\u201ccounselor\u201d lied, telling me it was just a \u201cglob of cells.\u201d I was DEVASTATED to later learn my baby\u2019s\u00a0<em>heartbeat began beating just 22 days after conception!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S-lQOooYAs8\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The first time I met the physician was when I was in a patient gown on the procedure table.<\/p>\n<p>Though I was anxious and crying before and during the procedure, neither the doctor or nurse explored this.\u00a0 The procedure was painful &#8211; with severe pulling pain and sharp stabs. I remember the loud suction sounds interrupted by clumps of blood in the tube, as if it were yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The procedure itself was degrading. The abortionist\u2019s jabbing instrument, coupled with his insensitivity, disdain, and lack of respect felt<b>\u00a0<\/b><i>in itself<\/i><b>\u00a0<\/b>as a traumatizing violation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hi-Kc5HLHP8\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>Instead of being \u201cgood for me,\u201d abortion tore through my life like a hurricane\u2026 shattering my life into a mass of broken pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Before\u00a0the abortion, I was an honor roll student, served on student council, was homecoming queen, and marched in the band. I was in a happy two-year relationship with my high school sweetheart.<\/p>\n<p>After the abortion \u2014 our relationship imploded. My sunny personality was quickly devoured by shame, grief, and regret. I lost self-esteem and respect. I became promiscuous and began using alcohol to numb the gnawing emotional pain of the loss of my child.
