According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/06\/11\/kamala-harris-emilys-list-pac-00101400\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">POLITICO<\/a>, this type of effort to boost the status of a sitting vice president is unprecedented.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to tell the story about who she is, what she\u2019s done, support her at every turn and really push back against the massive misinformation and disinformation that\u2019s been directed towards her since she\u2019s been elected,\u201d said Laphonza Butler, the president of EMILY\u2019s List. Butler confirmed that the group would be directing some of the spending in reaching different demographics among various social media platforms. \u201cSome age groups and demographics get their information from things like YouTube or from TikTok. For some demographics, they are much more interpersonal and in terms of how they get and disseminate information,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>In her role as vice president, Harris has been outspoken in her support for abortion, making the issue one of her top priorities. In April, she <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/save-children-womb-attacking-america-kamala-harris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> that those who fight to save preborn children are &#8220;attacking America.&#8221; In March, she <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/vp-kamala-harris-stephen-colbert-inhumane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">called<\/a> pro-life laws &#8220;inhumane&#8221; and <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/kamala-harris-christians-support-killing-preborn-humans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">last fall<\/a>, she went so far as to tell Christians that they should be accepting of abortion. She has also <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/kamala-harris-meeting-abortionists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">invited abortionists<\/a> to the White House and encouraged Senators to vote to make abortion a federal right.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Femilyslist%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0372RNFrk74VRZuni1x9JZDZrSoHxBnVmM7ZZGpCdE852CGR3dG9vMQGA5k7B9vCqxl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"557\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As an <a href=\"https:\/\/emilyslist.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">organization<\/a>, EMILY&#8217;s List is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/emilyslist\/posts\/pfbid0372RNFrk74VRZuni1x9JZDZrSoHxBnVmM7ZZGpCdE852CGR3dG9vMQGA5k7B9vCqxl\">dedicated<\/a> to electing &#8220;women who will protect the right to choose at every level of government, all across the country.&#8221; This is not the first time they have supported Harris; during the 2020 election, the group <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/4044710-emilys-list-prepping-to-bolster-kamala-harris-as-vp-in-2024-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also spent<\/a> about $10 million in support of the Biden campaign after it was announced that Harris would be running as VP.
