Billboards in the Cincinnati area directing women to an informational website for legal assistance regarding abortion are expected to make their way into additional states.<\/p>\n

The billboards, reading, “Injured by Abortion?” and offering a number to contact for free legal consultations are sponsored by ReproductiveInjustice.com<\/a> (RI), an incorporated group whose public face is known as Abortion on Trial (AOT).<\/p>\n

Michael Seibel, Senior Counsel at Abortion on Trial and Reproductive Injustice, told Live Action News that with the help of Cincinnati Right to Life,<\/u><\/a> eight billboards have already been erected along the I-75 corridor in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area.<\/p>\n

“It is important that the truth about abortion comes out, especially due to the ballot referendum in the state right now,” Seibel said. “The billboards should receive about one million views.”<\/p>\n

“Shortly, we are also looking to expand the billboards and messaging to specifically address chemical abortion harms,” Seibel said. “We are also willing to collaborate with organizations in other states for similar campaigns,” he added.<\/p>\n

Seibel said the Reproductive Injustice campaign in Cincinnati is expected to reach millions of the traveling public, but the group’s executive director Jamie Jeffries told Live Action News that Reproductive Injustice would love to collaborate with local groups in various states to erect billboards closer to abortion and Planned Parenthood facilities as well.<\/p>\n

Reproductive Injustice\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Jeffries, AOT will function as the Reproductive Injustice’s educational and public awareness branch while Reproductive Injustice<\/a> is better suited to assist women who need to convey personal accounts of injuries or harm for potential legal referrals. Reproductive Injustice is uniquely qualified, with seasoned attorneys on staff who are experts in personal injury cases.<\/p>\n

“Over the past three years Abortion On Trial has operated as a group of professionals providing legal aid to women at no cost. Now, we are thrilled to announce we\u2019ve officially incorporated as a non-profit organization entitled Reproductive Injustice,<\/u><\/a>” AOT’s press release<\/a> stated.<\/p>\n

“Reproductive Injustice<\/u><\/a> acts as a safe and judgment-free place for women to reach out to after experiencing an injustice such as difficulty is accessing medical records, malpractice, coercion, lack of informed consent, forced abortion, human trafficking, sexual assault, or post care suicide attempt,” the release added.<\/p>\n

“We know not every woman who calls will have a legal case, but we are prepared to refer those women to help as well,” Jeffries said.<\/p>\n

“Especially since many of the calls we get are past the statute of limitations,” Seibel added.<\/p>\n

“We’ve made it really easy for the women,” Jeffries said. “There’s just a single button form.”<\/p>\n

Women Harmed<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Seibel and Jeffries, women who have contacted Abortion on Trial in the past have experienced various abortion-related harms such as sepsis and emotional distress.<\/p>\n

Seibel said AOT has already taken one abortion-related death case<\/a> and he has assisted women who were victims of botched abortions or who have been mistreated by medical personnel. In addition, Seibel has advised clients in cases involving misplaced fetal remains, where the abortion business improperly disposed of a client’s aborted baby against the client’s wishes.<\/p>\n

“We get a lot of calls about emotional distress, and we get a lot of medical record requests,” Jeffries said.<\/p>\n

The ReproductiveInjustice.com<\/a> website details potential reasons a woman might pursue a legal case, including medical malpractice, patient abandonment, informed consent issues, HIPAA violations, forced abortion, sexual harassment, sex trafficking and emotional distress such as suicide.<\/p>\n

In addition, Seibel and Jeffries said Reproductive Injustice will assist women in obtaining their medical records. “Clinics don’t want to hand over medical records and abortion clients often have a difficult time accessing them, so they seek our help through the attorney’s office,” Jeffries said. “Women often get the run around when they request medical records on their own,” she pointed out.<\/p>\n

According to Jeffries, abortion clients “generally have no idea about what happened or what medications they were given, what kind of notes were made about them,” during the abortion procedure. “They have no idea what happened to them in that building until they see their medical records,” Jeffries said. “When abortion clients are able to see those records for the first time it’s very empowering for them, it can give them closure.”<\/p>\n

“It also allows us to help women interpret what those records say and whether they might have a cause of action to pursue,” Seibel stated. “Once we send out the official record request, the abortion clinics must get them to the woman in a timely period. Under HIPAA the abortion clinic has 60 days to respond. If the abortion facility does not get them in a timely manner – not only, does it trigger a cause of action but potentially a medical board complaint as well.”<\/p>\n

Seibel and Jeffries said Reproductive Injustice is also standing by to assist women who change their minds and need to obtain a refund for their abortion.<\/p>\n

\"Target<\/a><\/p>\n

Abortion Pill Injuries<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reproductive Injustice is hoping women will reach out with abortion pill-related injuries or cases that involve a missed ectopic pregnancy,<\/a> because Seibel claimed, “these abortion providers are likely not doing an ultrasound before prescribing the abortion pill.”<\/p>\n

In 2020, the abortion industry implemented the \u201cno-test\u201d protocol, despite openly admitting<\/a><\/u>\u00a0that no-test \u201ccriteria are not going to rule out\u00a0every ectopic<\/a><\/u>\u00a0pregnancy<\/a><\/u>.\u201d In fact, emergency department doctors (some openly admitting to be pro-abortion)\u00a0recently presented<\/a>\u00a0the case of a woman who took the abortion pill and was later treated in the emergency room for an undiagnosed ectopic pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Jeffries told Live Action News she is hearing from women who are “having complications or going to the hospital for complications relating to taking the abortion pill later than approved<\/a> by the FDA.”<\/p>\n

Live Action News previously<\/a> documented that, in order to cover for their negligence and unapproved methods, \u201cbad actors\u201d within the abortion industry are now advising women to lie<\/a>\u00a0to medical\/ER staff \u2014 and also encouraging emergency room staff to\u00a0falsify reports<\/em> \u2014 about abortion pill complications.<\/p>\n

Injured After Abortion Lawsuits<\/strong><\/p>\n

Historically, pro-life groups have worked with women injured by abortion. Charlie Wysong pioneered the abortion malpractice effort out of his American Rights Coalition office in Chattanooga, Tennessee, according to local media<\/a>. Legal Action for Women in Pensacola, Florida, started<\/a> in 1985 by Mike and Vicki Conroy, also aided women injured by abortion.<\/p>\n

The shoddy and unregulated actions of many abortion providers led the late Mark Crutcher<\/a>, founder of Life Dynamics, to assist<\/a> women who were injured by abortion, as well as the families of those killed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“A lot of times pro-life organizations cannot put up blanket billboards that say ‘abortion kills women,’ because they will be censored,” Seibel said. “But with personal injury, it’s merely attorney advertising,” he added, pointing out that “to censor the message would be a restraint of trade.”<\/p>\n

According to Jeffries, “Not only does the Reproductive Injustice billboard campaign show collaborative effort between organizations across the country, but it’s not something you often see. This billboard campaign puts into the public the fact that, hey, abortion can hurt you and there are attorneys available to assist injured women.”<\/p>\n

Jeffries said women who feel they have been harmed can contact Reproductive Injustice through the group’s website<\/u><\/a>. If warranted, Reproductive Injustice will connect women with “the appropriate attorneys, counselors, and a trusted support network all at no cost to the client,” she claimed.\u00a0 Women can also contact Reproductive Injustice’s 24-hour phone line, located at the RI website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
