{"id":292483,"date":"2023-06-03T15:35:20","date_gmt":"2023-06-03T20:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/?p=292483"},"modified":"2023-06-07T15:31:31","modified_gmt":"2023-06-07T20:31:31","slug":"planned-parenthood-ad-reason-right-abortion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthood-ad-reason-right-abortion\/","title":{"rendered":"Planned Parenthood tweet claims &#8216;any reason is the right reason&#8217; to abort a child"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>Planned Parenthood, the country&#8217;s biggest abortion chain, recently released an ad featuring a transgender-identifying individual who underwent an abortion, with the chain also claiming that any reason is a good reason to kill a preborn child.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood&#8217;s initial claim \u2014 that &#8220;any reason&#8221; is an acceptable reason to have an abortion \u2014 opens the door to many other things \u2014 like using abortion to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/what-we-do\/investigations\/aidingabusers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cover up crimes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/what-we-do\/investigations\/racially-motivated-donations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">racially-motivated<\/a> abortions, or aborting because the baby is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/what-we-do\/investigations\/sex-selective-abortion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;wrong&#8221; gender<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The individual, whose name was given as Lucky, was featured in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7t76OxpZ4jo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a>, explaining how the transgender community encouraged the abortion. Lucky became pregnant while in a difficult relationship, and didn&#8217;t feel ready to have a baby.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7t76OxpZ4jo\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy abortion was one of the greatest acts of compassion I had ever committed,&#8221; Lucky said. &#8220;It was an easy decision, and it was a decision that for the friends I had told I was trans, they were like, \u2018Get it!\u2019 \u2018You know, that\u2019s fine. Like, great!\u2019 \u2018You know \u2014 that\u2019s your decision.\u2019 You want to finally begin your life.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The irony is that Lucky&#8217;s &#8220;beginning&#8221; of life was predicated on the intentional <em>ending<\/em> of the life of another human being.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">When it comes to your abortion, any reason is the right reason. I wish that more people understood that abortion is health care, plain and simple.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There was <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PPFA\/status\/1663938684033421313\/retweets\/with_comments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">immediate backlash<\/a> to the tweet and video, with many people pointing out how radical and extreme Planned Parenthood&#8217;s position is. And despite the Twitter responses to Blackburn claiming that late abortions don&#8217;t happen or don&#8217;t happen except for &#8220;medical&#8221; reasons&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/abortionists-third-trimester-abortions-healthy-babies\/\">this<\/a> is <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/fact-check-late-abortions-dire-medical-reasons\/\">simply<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/third-trimester-abortion-any-reason\/\">false<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PPFA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PPFA<\/a> thinks any reason is the right reason for an abortion up until birth.<\/p>\n<p>These are the radicals, not pro-life advocates. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NvODSkTEcI\">https:\/\/t.co\/NvODSkTEcI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Sen. As abortionist Don Sloan previously <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.secularprolife.org\/2013\/10\/late-term-abortion-to-save-mothers-life.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">admitted<\/a>, \u201cThe idea of abortion to save the mothers\u2019 life is something that people cling to because it sounds noble and pure \u2013 but medically speaking, it probably doesn\u2019t exist.
