It&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abortionfreenm.com\/news\/urgent-4th-abortion-injury-of-2023-at-unmcrh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fifth<\/a> known botched abortion at the abortion facility <em>this year alone<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">&#8220;Five abortion-related injuries in the first five months of 2023 at the University of New Mexico&#8217;s free-standing abortion facility is a grave concern,&#8221; said Tara Shaver, spokeswoman for Abortion Free New Mexico. She added:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The pro-life community deeply cares for women seeking abortions, we want to help them find solutions to their crisis pregnancies so that they can choose life for their children. Abortion facilities don&#8217;t aim to truly help these women overcome their crisis situation, they simply sell abortions and send them on their way. <\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Until there is accountability and a change in New Mexico&#8217;s laws, women will continue to be injured at the hands of abortion profiteers while killing their children in the womb. Abortion Free New Mexico believes that women deserve better than abortion and we are working to build a culture that loves life.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>In February 2023, UNM&#8217;s Center for Reproductive Health staff injured two women significantly enough that they each were taken by ambulance to the ER within a week of each other.<\/p>\n<p>Abortion Free New Mexico is calling for the facility to be shut down due to its frequent botched abortions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eR1Ut4BPbOw\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a publicly funded institution, the University of New Mexico has tarnished its reputation and is losing the public trust by performing late-term abortions at the UNM Center for Reproductive Health (UNMCRH),&#8221; Shaver said. &#8220;Not only are viable babies being violently dismembered, but unsuspecting women are being injured during these abortion procedures at a staggering rate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/walgreens-cvs-petition\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-283198\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Keep-Abortion-Pill-Out-Of-Walgreens-CVSLAN-Horizontal--700x180.jpg\" alt=\"Walgreens CVS banner\" width=\"700\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Keep-Abortion-Pill-Out-Of-Walgreens-CVSLAN-Horizontal--700x180.jpg 700w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Keep-Abortion-Pill-Out-Of-Walgreens-CVSLAN-Horizontal--300x77.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Keep-Abortion-Pill-Out-Of-Walgreens-CVSLAN-Horizontal--768x197.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.liveaction.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Keep-Abortion-Pill-Out-Of-Walgreens-CVSLAN-Horizontal--500x128.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The facility commits abortions through 24 weeks of pregnancy. In New Mexico, there is no limit or restrictions on abortion. Children born as young as 21 weeks have survived when given proper medical care.<\/p>\n<p>The UNM Center for Reproductive Health also trains new abortionists as it participates in the Ryan Residency Training program, which exists to &#8220;ensure the availability of abortion care in hospitals and make sure that all obstetrician-gynecologists are skilled to provide abortion care.&#8221; These medical students, residents, and fellows are being trained to carry out dangerous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abortionprocedures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">D&amp;E dismemberment abortions<\/a>, during which the arms and legs are torn from the torso of a preborn children before his or her skull is crushed.
